PSA: Chrome and Burnt Blue BMS Exhaust Tips on clearance

mods - i hope this is not against the rules, just thought this was a great deal and wanted to share with forum members

I am not affiliated in any way with BMS -- just like to shop around . I do own BMS Billet Tips though I bought from a forum member here second hand.

Looks like BMS is clearing out their slant slip-on exhaust tips for $80 for a set of 4! Black seems to be out of stock, but Chrome and Burnt Blue are still available. Seems like a great deal as tips usually run $300+ for a set.

Definitely appreciate you posting this. Was considering getting new tips a few months back, but it was hard to justify the $300+ I've been seeing. I'm fine with my factory exhaust sound, just wanted the tips to be a little bigger with my aggressive looking diffuser.

Just placed my order for the burnt blue tips.

Yeah I’ve seen those other ones. Seem like a ripoff to me. Idk if you have done any exhaust mods but I put on the dinan X pipe and some K&N air filters and man does it sound better. It’s still street legal still have the cats and everthing. Mods weren’t that expensive. I put in the filters by myself and the mid-pipe my dealer did. Idk if you’re part of the M Gruppe or not but you get like 15% off labor. Can really save you some money

I can recommend them - I have the burnt blue on Mineral White with the CF diffuser, and they look great. Not too blingy and don't disappear against the CF like the CP black ones did.

I noticed these on sale a few weeks back, I was going to order a set but came across a member selling a lightly used chrome set for $60 so jumped on them. I really wanted a black set so I cleaned them up, sanded and painted with some high temp black paint and they look great. They're a no-brainer for $80.

Not the greatest photos - they pop a lot more in the sunlight, and I have the carbon diffuser on the car too.

It’s a really nice deal! I bought a chrome set and had them shipped to my buddy who has his own powder coating gig. I can’t wait to install them.

Placed an order. Are these discounted due to quality? I think I read a few people complained about the color after some time. At this price I think I'll send them for ceramic coating.

Do you think a ceramic coating will help prevent discoloration?

Asking because I was considering doing the same but not sure if the tips will still discolor after a coating.

I remember reading some issues with the coating on the gloss black ones. For this price, you can get them powder coated and still probably be $100 less than just about any other exhaust tips available.

Already checking on ceramic coating for the tips.

These have been discontinued, they are trying to clear out their inventory thats why they are on sale, i had called to see if i could order black and they are unavailable.

Issues with black commonly is they turn burnt blue after a few months of use.

I purchased burnt blue and the tip of the lip is now black after a few months of use.

I've had the gloss black BMS tips here for some time. What I do love about these tips is they are so much larger than stock and look much more aggressive. I've had several people come up and ask me what exhaust system I have due to these tips alone.

The black tips did start to "blue" over time however so I can confirm the color issues at least for the black tips. Still black and overall look great after over a year of use, but they do now have a black/blue hue to them, mostly likely due to the heat and overall paint quality wasn't the best obviously due to the discoloration.

But if you want the largest most aggressive looking tips around, these are hard to beat for the price especially now that they are basically being blown out. My original set for these was close to $300 that I paid. $80 is a steal.

Totally unrelated to this thread, I placed my order for the burnt blue ones yesterday. I actually saw a youtube video with some dude putting a couple on his 335. Ha!

Awesome deal. Especially since they are slip on like OEM and not a ridiculous price.
