Tint suggestions in OC/LA
Looking to get my tint done locally. Any suggestions on who to go to and what tint to get? I'm thinking 35% all around, excluding front. Cost approximations appreciated as well.

$450 Mike's tint shop.
Ceramic all around plus see through windshield tint. Make sure after talking to them about prices. Tell them you're paying cash. They're gonna make it cheaper. |

G5 Alhambra
All of my tints I have done there expect for my M3 which is done at Extreme Autowerks. I like Bing (Extreme Autowerks) a lot but my experience with PhotoSync hasn't been wonderful, not to mention I have gotten way more dust in my tint than I have ever done despite having the tint redone 3 times already. I never had that before with G5 in Alhambra (5 cars). I am extremely picky and I couldn't keep bugging Bing about the dust caught in the tint so I gave up after 3rd time. It is too much dust. P.S. I done multiple 3M Crystalline w/ G5 Alhambra. Full car, roughly 850. PhotoSync w/ Extreme Autowerks cost me above 1,200. (I still don't think it was worth it btw)

you got windshield and whole car for 450, ceramic? What brand film did they tell you it was?
I have been there in the past for getting a quote on a car and it was 800 to 1000 for ceramic on an m3 depending on film choice |

we are at 700 for the full car, glass and windshield.
I stock the suntek film so I know what film is being applied. Some tint shops will switch films on you when you get a super low price. Sure they have the huper optic box, but inside is actually Johnson film...This is the reason I stock my own film and give it to my tinter to use and just pay him labor |

The only bad thing about Crystal on your rear window is it makes venetian shade lines (horizontal lines) appear at night. |

We've used both Hann @ STM and Bing @ Extreme Autowerks and have been happy with the results.

Just picked up my car from G5 in Alhambra. Ricky and his team are first and foremost, Professionals. The car looks great, 3M Crystalline 40 all around 70 windshield.

Went to M&M Window Tint on Lincoln Blvd for my M4 and SUV. 3M something. $250-$275 cash out the door. Super convenient to schedule.
Disclaimer is so long as I don't notice anything weird w/ the results, I'm happy. I use STM for Clearplex windshield protection. But downside is they're hard to reach these days (at least it was for me).
