F80 Sluggish on power and Transmission Shifts

Has anyone else experienced this? Car used to downshift with a nice little pop and now is sluggish and seems like it is not rev matching. Power seems weak when I get on the gas. Door locks do not unlock when turn car off and need to hold down lock/unlock button for a second to get the. To open.

TIA

Just picked mine up after it needed a new radiator cap, 2018 M4 Competition and for some reason they’ve re programmed, now it’s so sluggish!! They said it’s just going to get used to my driving but it feels like it’s lost 100 bhp!!

Not happy ☹️

I believe that's from their (BMW's) software updates. I had a similar experience after taking in my vehicle for routine maintenance. They apparently updated the software which leads to a slightly different delivery of power. Not sure the specifics, but I could definitely tell when I picked it up. The throttle wasn't as snappy as before the update and the reason I won't update software unless I know what the exactly they are updating.

Did it get better?? Mine feels like it’s pulling less lower down the Rev range, if anything though it feels more snappy?? What model have you got and when did they update?? Can you ask them to go back to the previous version?

It's gotten better since....or maybe I've just gotten use to it. I've got a '16 M3 Comp Pack. I'm not sure if they will go back to older versions. It updates are suppose refine the previous software version.

I've read a few things about older (15-16's) getting updated and noticing a sudden loss in power at lower RPM's. I've only owned a 17 but one thing I did notice was it does take some time to get the turbo going and usually past 3500RPM or so, and then BOOM it has tons of power. I wish I had more down low.

I overall notice the car behave like shit in the winter. No un-driveable. but its not comfortable to begin with, the cold stiffens the car and my muscles leading to a painful and clunky drive. buy a beater. youl end up saving money. consumbles too expensive on the M.

but space, insurance, blah blah. I;ve driven sucuessfully in winter on summer tires(dangerous AF); but I;ve realized its just not worth it for me. Rather drive a rolling house in the winter

Man I was going to get my software updated from the dealer because the throttle is too senstive in sport plus mode (the car jerks when even putting foot down lightly). I was going to try and get them to smoothen the power delivery.
I'm having second thoughts now.... I have a 2016 non ZCP.

wow the CS software puts a lot more area under the curve than what the peak power suggests.

It's an old post but I haven't seen it. Thanks for sharing.

I could see how the lesser torque might actually be an improvement, if the car will put power down better in first gear?

The idea of "less power" always sucks, but it looks the same over 3000rpm so you can just drive at higher rpm and it will feel the same
