Imola Red vs. Avus Blue

Avus blue, but of course my M3 is Avus blue. I also had to pick between imola red, Avus blue and techno violet. Picked up the Avus blue because the SO interior pushed me over the edge as the other cars had carbonstructure interior. All were 6mt but my previous f80 had the carbonstructure seats so I wanted to try something different. I do not think you can go wrong either way.

I would have thought Avus was an individual color. Surprised it is no additional charge. In any event, it looks very nice.

Yep. Which I had never seen/sat in in person, but I was surprised at how much I liked it. I've had full leather in all of my BMWs and absolutely would have chosen the carbon structure cloth.

of these two colors, I'd pick Avus over Imola for sure. I have Tanzanite, but when I ordered I'd never seen Avus on an M4. if I had, I might have made a different choice. regarding Imola, i've never been a fan. had it been available at the time I ordered there's no question but that I would have ordered Melbourne Red with Amaro==>

I'd pick Avus over imola as well. I think the dark blue just looks better on the F80.

Went to dealer today and saw the car in person and color is stunning, since we already had the E93 in Melbourne red and previous F30 is the same color.

Imola for sure. But then again my M4 is Imola so im a bit biased.

Avus Blue for the win however, the Imola is 6 MT so that’s what you should go with.

As much as I loved imola red back in the day, I think it looks much less modern than Avus, which looks awesome. It looks like a retro paint on a very modern machine to me.

Leaning to the Imola Red 6MT at the moment but I have to pick the car in LA, my local dealer only offered $500 of list on the Avus blue. If they are not willing to negotiate then Imola red would be the choice.

It's strange that most of the Imola cars I've seen came with 437 wheels set even with competition package, has anyone know the reason why?

That's strange. Perhaps the cars you are seeing are at dealers located in cold climate areas? The 19's are easier to get all season tires versus the 20's. Perhaps that is the reason?

BMW did whatever they wanted on those last individual color cars that were produced. No full leather on any of them and some strange combos, but those combos were consistent for the most part (some M part add ons to them too).

And they were not changeable.

Thanks Doug majority were the Imola red that came with 19" rims but not on the Avus blue which also a individual color. By the way BMW did not charge extra for the individual paint on this car.

Right - both are individual colors and both (along with two (or 3?) other colors) were offered at no charge on the final run. But all were pre-configured by BMW, none had full leather and none were changeable.

I loved Imola more on older generations. Saw one recently at BMW Manhattan and to be honest it just looked like a standard pure red you could get on another brand. I'm not typically a blue fan but this one looks pretty classy.
