Service on lowered cars

I have my 10k service scheduled next week , my car is lowered . Do i need to tell dealership service dept so they take care and dont scrape my car during servicing or will it create a red flag?

Just had mine in for service, lowered on MS springs, didn't mention anything, car came out fine. In my opinion, mods are on a need to know basis. No need to lie, but no need to go out of your way either. In my experience, dealer has always called whenever there was a problem or question. They really don't care about mods unless you come in for warranty work. The only thing I've told them to potentially save them some time, in case they were programming the car, was that my active sound was unplugged, just so they're not wasting time figuring out why the car won't update. Never was programmed though.

As long as you have zero expectation of service on your suspension I don't think there's any need to bring it up. They can tell.

Just got it serviced for 1 yr /10K miles, all they did was oil change and nothing else. In the past they used to write up details like what oil viscosity and quartz they put in the car but today no details, invoice says performed oil change as per CBS , is this normal paperwork ?

Also can you please confirm if the oil is at max level per attached pic, is the max bar the top most or the 2nd bar as the pic states.

I just had mine serviced. Lowered with a carbon lip.

Came back to the dealership 5 hours later and the lip was cracked

This is exactly why I got the lightweight lip. It's plastic, and it's sole purpose is to protect the bumper. Looks great too in my opinion.

Did you catch it before you left the lot, and did the dealer do anything about it?

Thankfully I did and my service advisor did his own due diligence when I pulled in that morning. When I pointed it out, he was like "That was not like that - I checked all the carbon when you pulled in". They agreed to order me a new one and it is expected to arrive in early January.

Gives me hope there are still some genuine people out there. As for the culprit, to my knowledge he/she did not fess up.

Yes your oil level is fine. That is an electronic dipstick and reads in the same format as a physical dipstick with a minimum and maximum level. You would receive a warning if the level is too high or too low.

Is this your first bmw?

No 3rd bmw 😀

My question is more towards the max mark in the display , I thought max means bar full upto the top and not 1st level where it says max, hence the questions
