VRSF Single Midpipe

https://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-high-f...0-f82-s55.html

Anybody have any experience, reviews, or comments about this? It's almost half the price of AA midpipe which makes it very tempting.

When did they release this? Shocked i haven't seen it before. Incredibly tempting, wonder how it compares to AA, visually does it look smaller in diameter to anyone else?

I think this is a pretty new release, like this week. They are both supposed to be 3.5" in the single pipe section so I imagine that performance between the AA and this VRSF would be nearly identical.

Kudos to VRSF on reading the market and coming out with a product people are looking for. I've run their parts on my previous BMWs with no issues.

I agee, been watching used AA midpipes forever and still haven't committed. At this price I think it's a must do now

Yeah the fact that this pipe new is cheaper than any used AA midpipe I've ever found is a major plus

According to VRSF: “Please note that this item will fit the MPE/Competition Package with no modification.”

Not sure about the mentioning of the “Competition Package” since it’s the same as the regular F8x exhaust, but does that statement mean that the midpipe is a direct bolt-on without any cutting to the MPE? If so, bold claims and a game changer for those with MPE as it competes directly with the Fabspeed x-pipe as well.

Curious if either are made in USA. I'd get the one made here if it meant supporting American fabricators. If not, then this is proves that the comments of AA mid being produced "basically at cost" are complete BS.

I'm unsure about the midpipe, but the AA signature exhaust specifies that its made in house in Miami so there's a fair chance the midpipe is made there also.

I was wondering about this too, it specifies comp pack several times.. but it should be the same for non-comp too right?

i could be making some assumptions here, but from it looks like, the VRSF midpipe could be bolt-on to the MPE by not installing the latter pieces (that usually bolt to the OEM muffler. judging by the picture, it looks like the midpipe section right after where the secondary cats would go is approximately the same length of which is usually cut when installing the MPE. Pic below..

I would say it's probably made overseas for the price.

I'm really interested in this however I recall some issues with the AA midpipe and some rattling. I believe AA has a specific center mount they sell to address that.

Hopefully I'm remembering that correctly, I wonder if this VRSF unit will have same issues.

In the review video, the pipe do look awfully close to the brace.

If it's the same size pipe I can't see how this one would be any different. I read about those same issues and didn't like the idea of using washers so I ordered my AA midpipe with their center mount. I have plenty of clearance and no rattles without taking any extra time to tweak the positioning of anything to get it right.

Same with the AA mid-pipe, in fact, AA sells a replacement brace for more clearance if needed.
