Thank you . I think you are right. Quality issues with parts from supplier companys are more often especially if we are talking about low volume models.

Can‘t wait to brake this beast in and give it a blast .

Are the parts that are failing in your RS6 different from the equivalent RS7? While the RS6 is low production in the US, I imagine things are different in Europe where you guys appreciate wagons.

Should be the same parts. But you‘ve to consider that RS6/7 aren‘t sold that much in comparison to „normal“ A6/7s.

What I can say: the car handles great because of active rear wheel steering. You have the impression that the car is more than 3 feet shorter. It handles great and you really don‘t feel the weight.

Anyway: We‘ll see if they can sort this problem out.

Still happy with your CS or plans for a new car ?
You mean still happy with my 2020 M4CS I just picked up a few weeks ago...let's just say wifey gave the green for me to get an RS6 Avant IF I get rid of her X5 M50i and my M4CS...Hmmm

I can‘t recommend this step . You‘ll miss your M4CS for sure. These two cars aren‘t comparable in any way. For me the RS6 is more of a straight line „autobahn bomber“ as we say in germany. You can commute high mileage without beeing stressed. But it lacks engagement.

I miss my F83 some times because of its rawness. Haven‘t driven the CS but it surely is a huge step up in driver engagement compared to the convertible.

You can read about Top Gears long-term RS6 here.
https://www.topgear.com/long-term-ca...ronic/report-3

Few things that caught my attention:
- 250 miles range on a tank ??!?
- issues with the air suspension
- lack of standard options

I'm hoping they eventually do a hybrid version of this vehicle for LCI (not the 48 volt mild hybrid currently on the RS6).

A red one with black optics package would be on my wish list. Priced at $114K now I would be curious to see how much a used one would be in 3-4 years.

Feel like this is a bit excessive even for 1st year cars. Audi shouldn't have this many issues. This much electric gremlins isn't a good sign from the get go.

The most we have had with the F80/F82 the first year was DCT being choppy, and rocks getting stuck with CCBs.

Update: new fuel pump seems to work, check engine light remains off. Now there remains an issue with active steering which makes noises . This should be sorted out next week.

If the shop fails car will be lemoned.

Would you mind advising us roughly how many miles or kms were you getting on a full tank of gas on the RS6?

It‘s a great car except these issues.

Damn, sorry man! This is my ideal DD to pair with a fun M or Pcar. I do think Audi S and RS models lack the engagement feel of a sports car but make the ultimate daily driver (specifically wagon models as I always use the entirety of the space in my Allroad.

@ FreeDarko: I‘m getting about 430-480km on a full tank. But keep in mind that I‘m still in break in.

@ Mar48: I bought the car exactly because of that. It ticks so many boxes in daily use. Audi has really solved the problem with understeer in this generation.

Update: car is still at the shop to fix the noise from the active steering. Mechanic said after a short drive that the noise is absolutly unacceptable. Now we‘re waiting for a statement from Audi engineering how to fix this issue. It sucks .

will you buy an RS6 Avant?

It's officially coming to the US finally! Looks like its going to be one hell of a car, but more curious as to what the price tag will be without the markup.

Any members planning on jumping ship?

Update time : finally after weeks of waiting for new parts my car is finally fixed. They replaced half of the steering parts and few other things. There‘s a new revision for these parts which don‘t have the issues described.
Now I only have to sort things out financially with Audi.

That's great. I can't decide, RS6 or M5C.

My take:
M5C: better sporting performance
RS6: more practical and comfortable
