I second this statement - I'd rather go with their midpipe vs. the EQ version.
Everyone keeps chasing these PIPE DREAMS for the "perfect" tone.... since the sound of any exhaust is subjective, there will never be a true fix for the F8X, so this EQ Exhaust should not be dubbed as such.

Thank you bro! Its the reality of it... which it sucks. With that said im looking at the single pass pipe since it seems functional and changes the tone at least for half the cost lol

It changes the tone from a tin can double 3-cyl engine to a deeper sounding double 3-cyl engine. Unless you are running upgraded turbos you won't see a difference in power.

I for one bought the single, sold it and got the EQ and for me it was worth it having a car that doesn't sound like the worst car I've ever heard, now it sounds insane.

I don't think I'd buy one if my car had the stock muffler though, sounds horrible based on vids posted, but all vids so far are of the unresonated EQ system.

Do you have sounds clips of your EQ setup?

AA should get out the res versions to those who vouch to ammo them with sound vids. There have been a select number of individuals who got the res version but as you can see, we have yet to see any soundclips aside from AA's. I would love to hear what it would sound like with a Wagner High Flow Downpipe.

I've driven it at the race track and it's nice (MPE with non-res EL). Somewhat there is some hint of RX-7 but with its pitch lower. It's loud for daily use for me with even valve closed (but I don't drive it daily) but at race track it was good volume; and could have more volume as it gets hard to hear at >110mph (from 4th gear). For long highway cruising with valves closed it makes some interesting hollow sound which some might hate. I don't have any complaint regarding rasp, actually to my standard there isn't really much rasp especially after car is fully warmed up driving at track.

I'll be installing the AA EL MP with ARM Resonated Catless Downpipes to a CS muffler and maybe a Dinan muffler as well, to see which I like better. I'd like to have a AWE Track muffler/rear section with the AA EL MP, but hard to find someone to split the AWE from the included MPs.

Hopefully it's not raspy with the Catless Resonated DPs and AA EL MP. :fingerscrossed:

Yeah most rasp is there when it's cold, once it warms up it sounds clean. I hear you one the RX7 bit, it screams inside but you don't hear any of it in the exterior vid I filmed.

I hear rasp with my MPE if I stand on it at a very low RPM or if I start building boost and let off too early for the ECU to tell the diverter valves to do their thing so instead the car farts, but with a titanium muffler it sounds like a saw, not good. I'd really like to compare my non res to res pipes.

I am not sure about the saw-like sound you are referring to. I don't hear anything odd except the vibration at 2k rpm. Nothing else greatly deviates from old MPE sound effects, just different tone.

Just curious Mike but what Exhaust are you pairing this with?

Unfortunately we have high flow cats on the car, paring it with the EL midpipe and REMUS exhaust is too much in my opnion. I do not recommend it.

With that setup, i recommend resonated pipes

What do you mean it's too much? Too loud, too raspy... please elaborate.

Raspy, nobody here cares about "too loud" That's what valve controllers are for.
