OEM Steering Wheel Heated????? Lane Assist MODS
Can anyone point me in the right direction here...
I'd like to replace my OEM steering wheel with a OEM BMW flat bottom and I found this one...How can you tell if this flat bottom oem is heated?? If it's not heated, could I then transfer the heating element(and lane control assist) to this steering wheel, from the round bottom one? AND FINALLY WOULD ANY CODING BE NEEDED? Thanks a million!! |

There will be 4 wires coming into the Electronic steering wheel module at the bottom right around 5 o'clock. It not possible to transfer the steering heater system since the heating mat is inside the steering wheel rim.
Coding will be necessary if you replace steering wheel with heated version. Also SZL Switch unit steering column will have to replaced with one with supports steering wheel heater. |
