So I ordered a OBD2 flash tune today. Hopefully it delivers as advertised. I'm excited for the sweet features it includes such as the burble/overrun, cold start delete, GTS start up roar and extra hp and tq. Once I get it, I'll answer some questions that some of you may have regarding this new product

That’s great to hear. I’m already bench flashed, but would like to hear your experience with Alex (GTS DCT flash for my M3 hopefully this year)

If all vendors offered those OEM like tunes, and that above policy, I’d choose the lowest cost, then by the best vendor. Some vendors have more staff, more experience and more equipment than others, if that matters to you! It is crazy that for a stock M, allegedly you can get a stage 2 70/60 increase on 91+ fuel... for less than $1kUSD! |

No one has my vote because they are all almost unclear on few things that they have not made public, but then again I am not a potential customer so my opinion doesn’t matter. So you buying Mr track ?
PS: if the OP doesn't mind, let's keep vendors out of our Canadian friendly thread ... |

I also just purchased one and I should get it tomorrow. Probably wont be able to really test it out until spring since my winter tires break traction easily in stock form. I went with the one that has a green obd connector.

No, I will not be buying for my current car since it will be gone by summer. It depends what my next car will be to figure if I will get a tune on that one.

given the cold climate we live in for the next few months, why would anyone want increased power in this weather? I’d like an anti-tune feature

I like ALE_ (don't know how else to not name vendors here) price wise but again, if he tuned it, I don't understand why he doesn't have any supporting documents.
I prefer OEM tunes as well like CS but want everything included (EDC, DCT etc). However, I wonder if the OEM CS for F80 will have few changes in comparison to F82 when it comes to EDC . BP_ seems to provide the most detailed responses. Waiting for his reply to one of the threads where V_ & ALE_ are included in. He said he'll take some time to respond appropriately, very soon. Also awaiting info from MH_ & BM_. Especially if they will offer OEM tunes like CS. Think BM_ already offers a OEM+ tune though I'm not sure closesly it mimics ZCP or CS. MH_ pricing is extremely low for tune. Too many questions but in a month or so, I think we will have a better picture and more feedback from the early adopters.

Either way, I hope the wait does NOT kill you bcoz if I had such a toy, I'd want to rip it and kudos to you for trusting the vendor without any evidence ! So I guess you don't care about warranty ? |
