Both the 18 and 19 inch wheels are forged.

Thanks for providing these data! So the 18" wheels (rims + tires) are 1.9 and 1.6 lbs lighter (front/rear), for a total of 7 lbs. less unsprung weight. That is bordering on significant.
We have reliable weights on the rims from BMW: 18" 513M front = 8.92kg (19.6lbs) rear = 9.44kg (20.8lbs) 19" 437M front = 10.4kg (22.9lbs) rear = 10.6kg (23.4lbs)

I was surprised when I pulled my rear 18's last week. I've pulled a lot of race tires over the years, and these come very close - not even close to the mass of my old E60 M5 wheel/tire. Very nicely done, BMW.

Thanks for prompt response!! I will be using these wheels for Winter instead of my OEM 19s with Blizzaks LM-60. I could not find it anywhere on the forum and should be added to Sticky on wheels/tires section for the 18s. hint hint.. @dackelone
Cheers, Suave Quote:

Am I only one who prefer the look of 18 in. over 19 in.?
Also, a bit more comfort with bit higher profile is more than welcome. Actually I'll experiment with Conti tyres that provide way better ride quality with small compromise on racing edge quality (for track or ultra high speed drives, I would prefer to put additional set of wheels/tyres and for daily drive to have more comfortable one). |

I ordered my car with the 19"s and am thinking about getting these to use with winter tires. Does anyone know, definitively, if I can buy four front (or rear) wheels so I can rotate them?
I love the look of these and they would make perfect wheels to use 4 or so months here in Ohio. Thanks! |

If anyone has a perfect set of takeoffs in socal, drop me a note. Depending on price I might be interested to try them on my 1M. AWESOME wheel, not just look but weight in an OE wheel is amazing.

I just bought a second set of these to run as a winter set-up. It's crazy how cheap you can get these, considering they're forged wheels.

Where are you getting them cheap? I'm looking to move to winter areas this year, and will need some snow tires/wheels.
