Looking at that picture, it's hard to believe an F1 race was held on that track just 6 years prior . Standards sure have change over the last decades.

Before the reconstruction I last raced there in 91 and the track still had the original pavement from the early 60's when it was first built and was so abrasive that in the wet we were only 4 seconds slower than in the dry.During a test session we lost a F2000 car that went over the guardrail at 7 and went backwards through the trees before they closed up.We only found the car & driver after a half hour after somebody noticed marks on the guardrail. The driver was OK!

My trainer seemed to have fun driving with me. He mentioned a few time that the M4 had so much pick up. Probably why he was smiling

Also, the reflections of the track on the car are pretty cool.
