Unfortunately due to the shear size of the MCCB, you will be limited to 19" wheels for this application. The 18x11" ET25 was specifically designed for the rear of the E9X M3, and in this scenario it is better suited for front end as the lower offset lends itself to more inner strut clearance. Naturally, this transfers the focus to the rear of the car, where the 18x11" ET25 is very aggressive (28mm more aggressive then the factory 19x10" ET40 rear wheels). In effort for these to work when the car is put through its paces on the race track, rear fender modifications will likely need to be performed in the form of "pulling/re-shaping" in combination with additional negative camber. Brett Strom from Strom Motorsports is well versed in this arena and no stranger to modifying factory fenders, therefore he chose to go this route. In some cases we have reports of customers using this square fitment with 305 tires without needing to modify the rear fenders, however adding -2 degrees or more of camber in the rear was still necessary. We would recommend the following fitment for M4 owners running the MCCB: Front: 19x10" ET25 with 275/30-19 tires Rear: 19x11" ET44 with 305/30-19 tires
OR Front & Rear: 19x10" ET25 with 275/35-19 tires

Although this staggered fitment is only available in the SM-10 design, the square fitment is available in ARC-8, EC-7 and SM-10 designs! All of which will clear the MCCB system. Sorry for the confusion! - Max

Bringing back an old thread.
OP, do you have specs on the Nitron set up? Spring rates, is it a coilover out back? Any other information on them would be great. Also, how have they held up? |

305 with 18x10+25 offset fit stock struts in the front? Looking to do this as well with the hopes of not adding spacers in the front. Sorry to bring this back to life but it deserves more attention. Beast setup!!!

We typically recommend 275mm or 285mm tires, as they suit the 10" wheels nicely. While wider 295mm and 305mm tires can technically be mounted safely to a 10" wheel, we believe these tire widths are better suited to a wider 10.5" or 11" wheel for optimum sidewall support. Drivers that desire a really wide tire configuration like this are clearly focused on maximizing performance and grip, therefore, it only makes sense that optimum wheel widths are also used to fully leverage these compounds. 18" Square Configurations: I've listed general notes for each, but variables like tire brand/size, suspension type, & vehicle ride height will be contributing factors that should be discussed. F/R: 18x10" ET25 - Rotatable - 275 or 285mm tires recommended - No spacers required - Mild negative camber may be required for some 285mm tires (although we would suggest negative camber for any track setup) - Suspensions that compromise inner strut clearance like KW, Ohlins R&T, height-adjustable sleeve kits will need a minimum of 5mm spacers, or you can modify the spring configuration on the KW or Ohlins R&T to improve clearance. F/R: 18x10.5" ET40 - Rotatable - 275 - 295mm tires recommended - 20 - 25mm spacers typically required up front (depends on suspension, tire brand/size & ride height) - Aggressive negative camber specs up front required - Fitment not recommended if you are running suspensions that compromise inner strut clearance like KW, Ohlins R&T, height-adjustable sleeve kits unless you are willing to modify the spring configuration to improve clearance. F/R: 18x10.5" ET22 - Rotatable - 275 - 295mm tires recommended - 5mm spacers typically required up front (depends on suspension, tire brand/size & ride height) - Aggressive negative camber specs front & rear required - Rear fender rolling recommended - Fitment not recommended if you are running suspensions that compromise inner strut clearance like KW, Ohlins R&T, height-adjustable sleeve kits unless you are willing to modify the spring configuration to improve clearance. F: 18x11" ET25 / R: 18x11" ET44 * As pictured in OP * - Non-rotatable - 295 - 315mm tires recommended - 12mm spacers typically required up front (depends on suspension, tire brand/size & ride height) - Aggressive negative camber specs up front required - Fitment not recommended if you are running suspensions that compromise inner strut clearance like KW, Ohlins R&T, height-adjustable sleeve kits unless you are willing to modify the spring configuration to improve clearance. - Ryan

Running 305mm tires on the front 10" wheels is less than ideal due to lack of sidewall support, but as described above, it can be done. Although 18x10" ET25 with 275 or 285mm is a direct fit (no spacers required) up front, 305mm track/race compounds are wide enough to the point that spacers are likely going to be needed to prevent making contact with the strut. Since spacers are likely required, you may as well run the ideal 18x10.5" or 18x11" wheels mentioned in my previous post. Negative camber is vital to a well-performing chassis, regardless of which front wheel spec you decide to run. Not only will negative camber help squeeze wider wheels and tires under the front fender arches to avoid rubbing/damage upon compression, it also drastically improves turn-in, grip throughout the corners, and tire wear/longevity. In other words, it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend $$ on running the widest and most aggressive compounds available for a particular chassis, when some of the foundational prep work has yet to be done to ensure you can fully leverage them. I would say that investing in a set of adjustable camber plates and a track-oriented alignment with your existing staggered setup would give you the best immediate ROI. If the absolute goal is to run 305 square, ideally you would purchase a pair of adjustable camber plates, a pair of EC-7 18x11" ET25 front wheels to mate up with your rears, and the appropriate 12mm spacers. Keep in mind most F8X M's with this aggressive of a wheel and tire fitment are running motorsport grade coilovers with adjustable camber plates that can achieve -3.5º of front camber or more.
