18" p/n is 2358493 and 2358494 19" p/n is 2358495 and 2358496 First numbers are the front wheel set and second are the rear wheel set. Those are the part numbers from the little BMW Book of Wheels, but they are prefixed with 3611 if you look in the column heading so they are reasonably similar to yours. I found a dealer who also had them numbered as 36112358495+496. Maybe US p/n are different to Germany... |

Does anyone know for certain if the rear requires a 9 inch wide wheel in the 640m size for clearance/offset reasons?
The options here stink

Guys, if using a square setup on stock 18" wheels what are the sizes I can run? I wanted the nokians but they don't come in 255/40/18.. What could be the options or can I run a staggered setup with which sizes?
Thanks! |

The one with the thinnest spokes are the 19" 641M. And offsets are ET27 front and ET29 rear on both 18" and 19".

Just ordered my winter tire set from my dealer and thinking I might use the same wheel for my track tires for the summer.... is anyone having the same thought?

My CA yesterday suggested that these are now more readily available from BMW after a shortage of supply, but they wanted to call in tomorrow to check the specifics (seems like some disbelief out there).
How long is it currently taking people to get these tires and what deals are being done. Do they disclose invoice price on these vs MSRP? Looking to source some this week if possible. Please PM me if you don't want to share details publicly. James.

Just put on my 640M winter set. Used the 9" rear on all four corners. Only a couple of $$ more, and it makes it much easier to rotate from season to season. Still don't get why BMW offered a front wheel with only a 2mm offset difference, but mounted the same tire.
Haven't checked out the tires yet. Will report back once I get some snow experience on them. |

How much do you think the resale value will be for the winter 640M wheels after 3-4 years? |

I assume the resale value for a BMW branded wheel will be worth it considering TireRack's Rials. |

Worked out just fine. Still puzzled as to why BMW didn't just offer a square wheel setup for winter, especially since they are using the same tires on all four corners. 2mm difference in offset is negligible.

How did you like the tires? Specifically if you used them in any snow. Looking at this set but can't find a lot of reviews for this specific tire.

I too would be interested in peoples feedback from the first year. I'm now in the need of getting a set of these or a fun little winter car. Wish they made an AWD Ford Fiesta rally addition or something.
