Front monoball upgrade

Thinking about the monoball upgrade, has anyone done it? any feedback? better? worse?

Im looking at fall line or Dinan currently but open to feedback.

For the caster rods? If so, yes, it’s worth it, better steering feel. It's not a 911 but it’s a worthwhile improvement.

I just noticed you posted in the GTS section. If I had a GTS, I'd go with the SPL caster rods as they allow caster adjustment.

If I had to do it again that the route I would go as I've nearly replaced everything with SPL.

I've run this on several E9Xs and F8Xs, it is one of those rare upgrades that don't have a downside

These are the ones I've run for 50k miles:

I'm going to monoballs in the next couple of days. Not sure which ones yet. My thrust arm bearings are shot and I figured why not.

It's a nice upgrade for sure. Not a night and day difference

My whole car is solidly mounted. No rubber left anywhere in the suspension. I honestly don't notice any nvh associated with any of it. I got some slight diff whine with the diff bushings but that's it.

Can you link us to what all you have done? I’m considering diving head on into suspension upgrades

What were the benefits of all this slid mounts? What is the major difference you see?

Better steering feel and a more positive front end. But I also have a ton of tire up front so I'm sure they contribute as well.

The rear definitely had better traction as well after the arms were put in place. Again, more tire definitely helped there as well.

I don't think any single arm would make a world of difference. I look at it like weight reduction. Ounces add up to pounds kind of thing.

I think they are worth it, i have the bimmerworld monoball ones, it gives a little more steering feel.

Just had VCP install the TMS monoball bushings in my GTS.

Definitely more immediate feedback from the steering wheel. Highly recommend.

I just installed the Fall-Line monoball bushings and it's a nice improvement. No added NVH and the steering wheel has much better feedback. Just do it like Nike!

I've done the mod too and here is my interpretation of the benefits:

-The front no longer skips or hops over bumps and undulations on the road
-during turn in the front responds consistently and reliably (much more confidence
inspiring)
-The front end is much more connected to the road
-less ABS modulation during hard braking

Overall I think this applies to all monoball upgrades to the suspension (even the rear). Gone is the skipping/hopping nature of the chassis and the car feels absolutely tied down. That being said, I do think this requires more driver involvement than with the stock bushings. The chassis requires more driver input and control since its following the contours of the road way more precisely, so I can get a bit tedious in a daily driving
situation.
