Front facing camera
Setting up front facing camera 2015 m3.
Any recommendations on how and what parts needed ?? I have a front lip and won't to protect it as I pull into spaces, curbs etc |

I using a 1080P wifi camera and just pull it up on my phone if I HAVE to park in forward up to a curb. Not ideal but fit for purpose. ~ $40

Interesting idea! Always seemed like an expensive pain to wire cameras into the iDrive. Would be even nicer if you could make your own carplay app ;-)
I assume that you are using a waterproof wide-angle camera that's hardwired into 12V? Can anybody recommend a good one? (Another idea I saw recently was somebody proposing to relocate one of the side-view cameras in the front bumper, but this sounds invasive. Perhaps somebody could devise a solution that plugs into the same connectors though?) |
