Code park distance control to come on automatically

Newer BMWS pdc turns on when pulling into spaces. My 2016 will only turn on if I reverse. Anyway to code this behavior?

Manual says this:

Switching on/off
Switching on automatically
With the engine running, engage lever in position P R.
Automatic deactivation during forward travel
The system switches off when a certain driving distance or speed is exceeded.
Switch the system back on if needed.
With front PDC: switching on/off manually
Press button.
▷ On: the LED lights up.
▷ Off: the LED goes out.

Car is at shop for 30k maintenance, so will have to test when it gets back.

So not automatic as suspected, will see if Carly can code this to come on at low speeds

It is called “Parking Assistant”.

Does your car have the hardware for that?

No, it doesn't, but I can also trigger pdc/cameras at low speed by pressing the park button, so maybe I can code.

I have been wondering same thing. It seems that Bimmercode cannot do this either. When reading the manual, I also was scratching my head as to what "lever in position P R" means? Is that just reverse, because that is the only time PDC comes on automatically in my 2016 M3. Obviously, the manual button always works.

I only have PDC/cams on if car rolls back via Bimmercode.

Bimmercode also let me increase distance travelled + speed before cameras shut off.

It would also be nice to have the side view cameras activate upon turn signal.
