Millway Camber Plates (Street Version) (Just some pics)
Finally got around to needing these (after wanting them forever) and ordered them. Wait time was about three weeks. Also ordered replacement bushings at the same time just in case. I had time to take pics but not a full DIY/How-to. I figure a few pictures would still help anyone out there who's new to DIY'ing or suspension setups in general.
User Farkle! has done a great video on Youtube about this so check that out if you want some audio commentary. Quick run down is these use Polyurethane bushings instead of spherical bearings so no noise or premature degradation of components (important to me since I'm in the PNW and it's constantly raining and nasty out most of the year. I can quickly see parts degrade/corrode if they are not high quality/stainless/corrosion resistant, etc...) so I consider these a high reliability solution for someone who doesn't want to deal with replacing parts on a regular basis. I've run them for about 300 miles already and I'm very satisfied. Super quiet, excellent feedback and they seem to have smoothed out the ride a bit, not softer just smoother. My ZCP F80 is much flatter than it was before (still at factory camber settings) so I am expecting it to really shine once I dial in -2.0 degrees of camber up front. |

More pics...
As a follow up to my quick and dirty writing up above. I have these fitted to my 2017 ZCP with MPHAS setup. My current wheel tire setup is 265/35-19 Advan AD08R up front on a 19X9 with 285/35-19 Advan Apex in the rear on a 19X9.5. I love this setup for the most part but would like to run a matched set of tires. Moving to the 265/35-19 Advan Apex up front really showed how much softer the sidewalls are than the AD08R. I'm gonna be switching to a 19X9.5 front/19X10 rear to stretch the sidewalls of the Advan Apex's a bit and also add negative camber with the Millways to see if I can get better feel out of the full set of Advan Apex's. The one negative about the Millway Camber plates is how much more road noise/resonance there is from the AD08R's up front, from 0-40mph its pretty bad. If you hold steady at 30-40mph the noise is just terrible! Last edited by knightarmor; 07-07-2021 at 08:50 PM.. |

Yup. Millway sells OE to 60mm spring adapters (similar style to the ones Ohlins includes in their kits) that you put on the OE thrust bearing to taper it down. This does limit how low you can set the car since it makes the stack height larger, but that won't be an issue if the coilover kit was designed to be used with the stock top mount.

I just installed these on my F80 as well and they are a very well designed product. Firsty, their plates are compatible with both 3 and 5 bolt versions, and stock/ OEM type springs and coilover type springs.
On my car with the plates set at maximum camber I was able to measure 4* on an alignment machine. However you will need to remove your aluminium strut brace in order to get maximum camber, as one of the tightening bolts will not be accessible. I have it set now to 3.1* camber for track. If you want to make adjustments with the aluminum strut brace in place then you will probably only be able to get maybe 2.5* camber. It isn't a huge job to remove the brace anyway, and if the alignment shop won't/ can't do it, I suggest removing it yourself and then fitting it back after the alignment. This is IF you want more than 2.5* Also, re-usng the OEM bearing plates is a very good sealed design and will allow quiet and smooth rotation of the spring when turning lock to lock. My 1st choice initially were the Vorshlags but they aren't in stock, and Millway were cheaper anyway.

I'm still very happy with this setup. I've done two track days since install and these with the MPHAS is all I need to enjoy the drive on and off track.

I need to replace both my thrust bearings so thought great time to just get camber plates and was drawn to these until I realized you need to re-use the OEM ones
Anyone know if you can get new Thrust bearing from somewhere? OEM they only come with the alloy strut top.
