Here's my build. I think we can all agree that sunroofs, in comparison to the carbon roof... are a big NICHT NICHT on the M3.

Add a drop, the black grills and some nice wheels, and that thing will look fantastic.

Yes, really! But the blue calipers on my standard brakes are going to look weird. I will have red interior. It might look cool to change the calipers to the red ones.

No it doesn't. It looks a lot nicer in person.

I'm looking forward to some pics of SS out in the sunlight and in natural lighting conditions.

I might go with the possibly most feminine/base 3er combo ever - SS2 with Full Beige...that might actually look good.

This is tied with Sakhir.

But if I get Sakhir, it's gonna be on the 'ring lap record setting X1 35i with the Cocaine White interior.

2014 NYIAS: BMW M3 (F80) in Silverstone II

COMMENTS

While we are all familiar with the upcoming M3, we haven't really gotten too many looks at the F80 in colors aside from Yas Marina Blue and Austin Yellow.

BMWUSA has given us the treat of the car in the sure to be popular Silverstone II. The 2014 New York Autoshow lighting makes it look downright sinister.

BMW M3 (F80) in Silverstone II

Oh great, just when I thought my mind was made up. I opted for MW but I was able to see SSII and it is an amazing color. That combined with a CF roof (a must have for these cars) and some added CF pieces, man that is going to be a looker. But I fear I have mentally committed myself to MW. Maybe next time.

I had m5 in this color. It's really unique and tends to look different given light, but never baby blue. I think the cf roof and black rims will look great , but don't want to do black interior w/out moonroof. So it's either silver stone or SO interior. What do you think?

Btw I'm getting standard brakes and the blue looks the best w ss.

To me in this color the car is really a wolf in sheeps clothing and that imho is what M is all about. I can take it to meeting with a client...fairly respectable..and then drop it into sport+ on the way home and have some fun. I love the look of sapphire more--menacing--it's all a trade off!

Why is there such a hell of a wheel gap up front?

So what is the general consensus on wheel choice for this color--black or the standard silver?

Black wheels for me. Good contrast with the carbon fiber roof IMHO

also--this may be a stupid question, but is Silverstone II the same as the Silverstone Metallic color option that BMWUSA.com has in the car builder?

Just changed my order from MG to Silverstone Metallic with black 19's and CF roof. Can't wait to see that config on a real car rather than just the configurator.

Looks very nice. I can't tell if it is Silverstone though.
