I think the s65 is actually lighter? maybe im wrong,

But I agree, I come from swapped e30 m3s, I have a stock one now and cant wait to swap that bay out as well

Yes, you are correct. Did some form digging, S54 212kg, S55 205kg, S65 202kg...complete cooling and plumbing.

Non M twin turbo 335si era N54:
( all aluminum and forged , block up ) 145~kg LIGHTEST !!! )

S55 and S65:
( really almost a nominal difference )
Slight advantage to S55:

Still, hefty tho at 212kg for the V8
and 205kg for the twin
thank god for the reliable 500hp to compensate and thus..
carry its own. These two motors would require some serious suspension to offset the much larger weight gap from some of these other swap ideas.

Stock S14 is: ~ 106kg
for reference point to stock engine weight.

Once we're all finished, it will have traction control and all of the other factory goodies.

Please stop f!!!ing up E30 M3's. Swapping in larger engines and cutting it up has been going on for decades. The whole point was the weight balance and handling. You've ruined another one!

Not sure where that site got its info, or what components they are including in the weight figure. But BMW is on record saying the S65 is 33 lbs lighter than the S54.

Engines to engines. Doubtful. Makes no logical sense to me however I didn't write those specs.
