New owner saying hello!

Hi all

Picked up my M4 Comp Convertible yesterday and wow!

First BMW I’ve ever owned - had an S2000 and a couple of Boxster S’s before this - just needed a couple of extra seats now so the M4 ticked all the boxes.

Boring background - After my last Boxster, I drove mum bricks for a few years due to the birth of a small person, but am finally at the point where I can get back into something interesting. It wont be a garage queen and will be used regularly. Once lockdown is over the plan is to do a couple of days on track to learn how the car reacts.

So, this one is 3 years old with 15,000 on the clock. Has just had its 3 year service before I collected it. Flew through its first MOT and I expect it to do approx 6,000 miles a year.

Millions of newb questions so apologies in advance but very pleased with the new addition to the driveway.

Stranger questions have been asked, but not often... what gave the hair dresser question legs?

OP- welcome.

Standard fodder comment aimed at convertible owners in the UK. I'm more than used to it in my years of owning various drop tops.

Thanks for the hello's. I've just enjoyed another fabulous day of stretching its legs. One tank down, many more to go!

To OP, congrats on your beautiful F83! It's a lovely machine, I'm still super glad that I got the convertible. It's a blast everytime I drive it with the top down, and in spite of the weather getting kinda cool/cold out here in NorCal the top goes down pretty much all the time I'm in it. Enjoy your new baby

Very nice.

My old M240i was mineral white. Does look amazing in the sun.
