Zymol Graphene sealant?
In Roundel there is an advert for Zymol Atomic Graphene Shield Paint Sealant. This is new to me. Has anyone tried Graphene? I searched the thread and came up empty - if I have missed the thread, sorry.
I'm thinking of ordering the Zymol and trying it. You know, first on my wife's benz.

Graphene seems to be a newer coating option. We won't really know the benefits or results until more people have it on their vehicles.
Zymol has always been a good brand so I don't think you can go wrong necessarily. |

One of the concerns / doubts I have is that part of the base of that product is carnuba. I was a heavy users of Zymol, but moved to synthetic product to deal with the Texas heat. I have not tried it yet but would be interested in its hot weather performance.

On backorder
I placed an order a couple of weeks ago. The product is still on backorder. I wonder if it means they are having problems with the product, if the stupid virus has disrupted their distribution, or it's so popular they are out. So nothing to report yet.

Zymol Paint Sealant
Used on my wife's new Toyota Rav 4 XSE. Reasonably easy application. Seems to bead up water well. Makes car easier to wash. Time will tell for durability and longevity. I had to wait 2-3 weeks to get it.

Honestly, I've not read anything about sealants, but the coatings are still ceramic coatings but with graphene added in. From what I've been reading, there's no benefit to graphene products.

I'm not a detail nerd at all, but I was watching AMMO NYC's studio channel a couple weeks ago, and Larry gave his input on "Graphene" coatings.
Go to 24:55 in the video and he gives his take after he consulted with real chemists and other PhDs in the field. |

Not sure about what's hype and what isn't, but here are a couple of pics of the hydrophobic nature of the 303 Graphene Spray coating. The main benefit to me is the lack of curing time needed after application - just apply it, let it haze after 1-3 mins, buff off, and you're good to go (and be exposed to water). My understanding is that ceramic spray coatings still require a few hours of curing time.

Very good authority on the matter. You can't go wrong sticking with a reputable brand. Find the product that fits your detailing needs, test it, and use what works best for you. No need to over complicate. |
