Didn't Ecutek just come out for the S55 platform just in 2019? Whereas BM3 has been available almost the entire life of the S55?

Hopefully will be ready for release in Mar... but won't be holding my breath based on past experience.

There must've been bugs found during testing to have been delayed this much... will be worth the wait though to ensure 100% bug free.

BM3 is the current best option for sure. I ran stg 1 and stg 2 but settled on the clone GTS map. It is so mesmerizing with the sound. Also I have no hub done and also a really old car. With BM3 switching is super easy. Ran their platform on my first M4, M2 and with my current M4
Guys have always been on point

Can understand if they're fixing bugs and retesting, it does take time to get it correct. Worst scenario would be to release with bugs considering the impact that could have.

Most annoying thing i find is that we only hear positive news, info blackout on all other fronts, no updates on progress or target delivery dates... 2 weeks was the last i heard

The potential problem (credibility/trust) I'm seeing here is that they announced it too soon!

Way back around October/November "CoVi - 20".

So, we're all left here left here with consumers' anxiety. Running all sorts of hypotheticals
in our brains about, "why so long?" along with ever increasing and arguably unfounded
expectations about the potential finished product/result.

Both scenarios that will more than likely may lead to a let down for some.

Ok., Yeah! But, it begs the question, "Why wait for a few more (A.L. Canbus, etc.) unrelated (- to Map switching?) features?"

Why not release each one on its' own?

Thus, engendering doubts.

[Edit:] "MHD" has already incorporated Rolling Anti Lag in their app.

Couldn't tell ya but maybe it is easier/cheaper/less hassle to do one update especially when you have to get Apple to sign off on it.....

Hell it will get here when it gets here I guess

Since 2016 we've never provided an ETA. In fact release notes is exactly what we're writing up right now

You do have a great point for sure. We've always typically released features as we built them. This is the first time we've done a huge number of them and lumped all in one go, hence the wait, no other reason really other than its a really big job and highly time consuming, but in any case:

UPDATE:

Number of really great bm3 tuners have been with us testing all the features we've built along the way. When initial demos were shown (flex fuel being the last one Dec 22) they showed the bm3 CustomROM features built and running on a 2016 S55. The DME software here is different enough that we had to also do the work to support 2019+ DME cars as well for all the features. We could've released and supported up to 2019 model year cars but after the holidays we decided to do that as well.

In the process we also acquired a new dev car as well, a 2019 M4 CS, to complete dev and testing for 2019+ software and that has also now been completed rounding off S55 across the board.

As mentioned above, going forward we'll be going back to our regular release schedules as we've always done, shorter releases.

We have some dynos scheduled for tomorrow and we'll be releasing very soon after. Now back to writing up release notes, there's a lot to write about this time!

Excellent news!

So, you do release, "Release notes"?!?

Where could I find these for all of your previously released OTS tunes??

I have previously asked, but have been told it was all "Hush, hush".

Cheers!

Of course! They're mostly just short announcements on our Wiki, we try to keep them updated as we go but documentation and developers rarely go hand in hand
