Anyone else get banned from the G8X section for making fun of its looks?

The reason why the TYD date is confusing me is because on the screen that says, "Scheduled for Production," it has 9/28/21 (…which updated after I had made a change to my build in mid-September). When I updated my final build spec on 10/7/21, the date on that prior screen never changed like it did before. On 10/22/21, the screen that shows the milestone completion date updated from 10/9/21 to 10/23/21, and my lock date seemed to keep resetting to about the 25 day mark. Do you think this had/has something to do with my car being in V110 status due to adding more CXX options?!?

Thread on UK M forum regarding how there are just not that many G8x on the road... Can confirm from experience (and the stats of registered cars in comparison to F8x I posted last month).

As some in that thread pointed out, they've priced them very highly here and financing options are not appealing. F80 M3 Comp DCT was ±64k in 2018, now it's 76k. 82k with buckets, lasers and full leather.

Counted about a hundred G8x sitting on dealer lots in the UK, new and approved used.

I don't think we can compare the visibility of F8X's to the visibility of G8X's. The F8X has been around for a really long time.

I'm not comparing them to F8x on the road now... I pulled up numbers from years before in that older post of mine, dating back to 2014.

But again, there is also the factor of disrupted supply, though the 100 of G8x on dealer lots provides a bit of a counterargument.

They couldn't have been more kind & respectful and treated us like neighbors - dudes *in* the community rather around the community ... I have to say this is not my usual experience on the street where I live, so it was really nice to hang out and chit-chat instead of getting the "move along". They were just there to pick up a colleague I guess.

I'm glad your experience was positive with the LEO's you encountered. That's always a good thing.

P.S. I think this guy made mine. I saw him coming from a distance and thought it was the Asian lady in my patrol area I always see driving a Carmine Red 992. As it got closer I realized it was a Guards Red GT3. I quickly performed a U-Turn to catch up to him. I think he thought I was about to pull him over, so he pulled into the gas station. Lol!

I did see a BSM G82 yesterday and a few days before I saw an IOMG G82 that looked so sweet.

so not sure if repost, but we're not the only ones with this impression. harris commentary at 4:35 on looks & sales.

F8X gen has been around for a while, but C8 hasn't. See at least 1/2 dozen every day. I've seen a 1/2 dozen G8X total. (At least 1 of them was at the track, that was good to see.) G8X is going over like a lead balloon in this automotive market.

Funny thing, I was at the dealer to pick up a locking bolt and it wasn't until I left and got back into my own car ready to drive off I realized there was a black G80 parked 2 meters away from me belonging to someone who works at the dealer.

I honestly didn't even see it parked on the lot, right in the open and I walked right past it twice too!
I'm pretty sure it's the same G80 I've seen being sold and traded in twice.
