[F80] Official YAS MARINA BLUE F80 M3 Sedan Thread
Spotted the Yas Marina Blue F80 M3 today in Irvine at the Verizon Theater.
Car was fully uncovered, fenders looked real bulky 255 fronts and 285 rears defintely picking it up end of this year. Enjoy the pics! http://cycgroupllc.com/eng/event_det...ID=20140319001

[F80] Official YAS MARINA BLUE F80 M3 Sedan Thread
Quick disclaimer...
This car is not a production car. You will see that some stuff including the interior are not production ready. Also please excuse the iphone photo/video quality. Now... where do I begin? I have never been one to believe in love at first sight but I was proven in the concept of it today. The car is simply stunning in person. The stance of this car is amazing. The fenders look even better in person. The YMB (Yas Marina Blue), even though looks great in person, is not a strong color for this car. This thing is a beast in person and needs a much more bold color to look mean. In the photos and video, it looks much darker than it really is. I would say it resembles powder blue / LSB (Laguna Seca Blue) mix. It's great to see that the car had some legitimate brakes on it that meant business! M Carbon Ceramic brakes - 4 pot rears and 6 pot fronts with light weight rotors all around. Bummer that they are going to cost a kidney and maybe two finger as an upgrade option. The seats, even though I did not have a chance to sit on, looks amazing. I will say that the ///M logo on them is a bit tacky but nothing you cant not live with. The exhaust... to give you the best comparison I will use my 2008 335i sedan exhaust and hope most of you would have heard something similar. The exhaust sounded like my 335i sedan with secondary cat delete, resonator delete, and muffler delete except it did have a muffler effect. The exhaust is very raspy and I am happy to stay that it sounds great! A hybrid of a N54 335i and the e46 m3 exhaust tone. Enjoy!

More in the wild pics.
These are a good representation of what Yas Marina Blue looks like in real life.

Thanks Jason.
Still don't like this color, especially with silver wheels.

I have to admit.. YMB looks so much better on the M3 than it does on the M4.. and I love love the way the rear of the M3 has a more squatted look compared to the M4...
has me thinking of going for the sedan over the coupe... |

I was at Mckenna BMW today and a BMW North America representative just happen to be there leaving the parking lot. He saw me w/ my M3 and got out of his F80 to talk cars :-)

I've been talking w/ my local dealer about ordering the M3, and after some back and forth I think it's a go. Only issue is I was sure I would order YMB but after seeing some of the direct sunlight photos where the color looks VERY light and washed out I'm getting cold feet. Thinking maybe I just go with plain old black. I really wish I could see the car (soon) in person! For people that have actually seen the car, outside, in person, what are you general thoughts? Did you still like it? Was it powder blue, or a bit darker?
