Courtesy of the Build Your Own feature on BMW Belgium's website, we can show you the first (CGI) images of the standard 18" wheels style 513M for the F80 M3 and F82 M4.

Tire dimensions are 255/40 ZR18 at the front and 275/40 ZR18 at the rear.

An interesting note is that the 18-inch wheels won't clear the optional M carbon ceramic brakes, which will require the optional 19-inch style 437M wheels.

For comparison sakes, we have also included CGIs of these 19-inch style 437M wheels, both in silver and in black. Tire dimensions for them are 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 275/35 ZR19 at the rear.

Follow our full features/coverage on the brand-new M3 and M4:

Thanks for the thorough job capturing the pics, south.

Hey, two more related questions:

1. Do you know if there will be an OEM winter wheel like the style 270M for the E9x M3?

2. Regarding the 19's in your picture above, they appear all black. But we've seen others where the surfaces that face outward are a contrasting silver color. Does this differ by market, or is there actually just one design that happens to look different depending on lighting (I realize the above are CGI but I've seen live pictures where they look all black as well)?

I don't know if there will be OEM winter wheel but do think so. As to the 19's, Jason probably can answer this better as he saw them in person. To me, it looks like the 2 designs shown above are the available wheels for all markets. If you look closely at the CGI the surfaces that face outward are a tad lighter.

Best regards,
south

Yes! I like them more than the 19s

Edit: how can we use the build-your-own feature?

Edit: found it http://www.bmw.be/vc/ncc/xhtml/start...3#MODEL_ENGINE

Thanks for the reply south.

I do see what you mean about the lighter color on the wheel face, but thought it could just be the lighting effect used in the render. I wondered because in some pics the contrast between the two colors looked very high, and the face actually appeared silver, making it appear as though it could be a different color combination from what we see here altogether.

South, do you know what the wheel offsets are? I am dying to know if my 18s from the current M3 will work with the new car.

May not look as good as the 19's, but is probably the better setup for driving.

Unlike the E9x, the 19's seem to really make this car.

Square set up for the 19s? Must be a typo for the Fronts.

Just glad they went with a new design for the standard wheels. Looks good for an 18inch wheel

These 18's should have been the 19's! They look much better than the 19's. Very BBS'ish.

Aesthetic wise, there are very subtle differences in overall appearance then the 2014 3 series, meanwhile the engineering and the bones of a M3 is a totally different car then the 2014 3 series. I wish BMW would make the M series stand out more then the 3 and the 4 series, rather then only slight appearnce differences that mostly BMW enthusiasts would know

That's a good looking wheel. Should make a fine track wheel for many instead of upgrading to something like apex.

Oh and with a 255 front, I'm guessing that's a 9" wheel so plenty wide for most.

I agree. Much like the E9X, I prefer the style of the 18's, just wish they were 19's.
