I am not in a position to be able to attend any of the shows so any photo or opinion is a plus. Thanks to everyone who has posted pics, it is appreciated by the vast majority of members.
^^ Agree, well said!

GREAT job on the pics!

for those wondering, these pics of the Sonoma beige interior are MUCH more representative of the actual color than mine. it is a nice darkish natural leather tone, and looks phenomenal IMO.

First of all, a big THANK YOU for everyone has posted pics - I really appreciate it! I have been waiting to see Mineral Grey, as I have been a long-time M3 grey lover (I still miss my E46 M3 silver grey!) and, while I have a black E93 right now (only because I couldn't find one in space grey when I bought mine - apparently it wasn't a popular color for the convertible), I have been looking forward to getting back into a grey car for my next one.

Quick question - I know some people have mentioned that the coloring looks different in-person than in some of these pics. Am I correct in my understanding that mineral grey looks much darker (ie. almost black) than the pics above, which look more purple than black (which I happen to like)?

For example, here's a link to BMW 4-series convertible official BMW photos in mineral grey. You'll see this looks significantly different than the pics above. Is it just the lighting and will the M3/M4 look more like this: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=900075

Thanks in advance for everyone's feedback. I am eagerly awaiting official pics of the M4 convertible!

Just head to your local dealer. Good chance they'll have MG 3er or 4er there to see for yourself.

That's what I did yesterday. Yes, it's darker to my eye than those photos make it look, though the example I saw was dusty. I far prefer Space Gray, which is a little lighter and not so metal flaked.

The blue sedan didn't have any logos so I'm not sure what it was...

I'm posting because I wanted to tell any coupe owners that were thinking of swapping to 4 doors due to the M3s aggressive stance not to worry, the M4 looks great. I really questioned the stance and overall bruteness of the M4 but It looks wide, low and very mean. I think in a dark color it would be a pure menace on the road. The M3 also looks good but after seeing them I do not want a M3 anymore. I need to keep two doors.

I also got a chance to sit in the M3 today and see the M4 in person. They look amazing when viewed first hand. Fantastic seats, excellent driving position, terrific interior, great stance and proportions. Really nice package all around.

Some pics I took at the Houston Auto Show, sorry for the bit of redundancy with the other Auto Show pics, but hopefully you enjoy.

Also, my flickr set has ~297 pics (burst shooting with my dslr) again some similarity between pics and some not so perfect shots, but I was too excited

Sometimes I like the design of that CCB caliper and sometimes I hate it.

Ok that's too light for me so looks like either the SO or just go to plain old black for me.

Agreed Sonoma Beigie is more caramel in person. It looked really nice, though I wouldn't pair it with MG or sapphire black. Any other color and it would look hot.

Also the HK system sounded AMAZING. Nice crisp bass.

Only thing I didn't like was the gauges. They look boring.

White or light gray gauge faces would be nice.

Exactly the gauges should be grey like the e46 m3. It's hard to read the speedo. The Lexus RC F definitely has better gauges.

I am likely in the minority, but I prefer the normal 335i gauge cluster over the F8X M cluster.

If they are grey then they are a super dark shade of grey that is almost black. Especially when lit the contrast is too high and the numbers on the speedo are hard to read IMO.

The Mineral Grey looked pretty dark in person at the Detroit show. It looked almost black to me. But I'm really starting to like the MG color.

It's a trick of the light. They are noticeably gray in person. A little darker than the E46, but still gray.
