Drop in filters and keep the stock air box. Running open filter intakes will just suck in hot air for the engine bay.

With those above intakes they have some small power gain do you know how much gain would it be by just adding the bmc filters?

If you're going to keep the stock airbox just keep the stock paper filters & remove the carbon filters. The stock paper filters flow better than anything else out there and do a better job of filtering out dirt.

We've seen solid 10-15whp gains up top at higher boost levels with the BMS style intake that retains the factory airbox bottom. Also sounds and looks pretty good.

Filters are worth about 8-10whp, which includes removing the charcoal liners.

Any intake gains seen are as a result of the filters, not the intake design. We've even tested some that lost hp on the dyno, and keep a couple OEM airboxes here since some run into issues during tuning. Intake gains are even minimal with those that have larger turbo setups. We have 800+ whp cars running stock airboxes.

Here's a good example of how well stock airboxes perform with BMC Filters, just off the dyno:

Save the money, get a set of BMC filters, put the money you save towards a flash tune and make some real power.

Of the ones you listed , MSR , is the only front mount. So you see the filters behind the grills which looks amazing. The others you only see when engine is open.. The sound is intoxicating on the MSR, love it.

best intakes are no intakes!!
drop in's, charcoal removal.

the rest is just show.

do you want carbon fiber, or not?
do you want just filter extensions, or front-mount?

besides that, all intakes yield the same. no difference power wise.

I bought the SSR intakes and charge pipes and had them painted Alpine white to match the car. It's just for looks and a little sound. I have the stock boxes with BMC/charcoal removed and it runs great.

I have an Eventuri intake currently. Before that I did a charcoal delete and K&N’s in the stock boxes. Honestly I liked the drop-ins with the stock intake better. It had just enough sound to it and I don’t open my hood enough to look at the Eventuri. Live and learn.

I'll give you 200 bucks for the Eventuri.......

We'll do the hand-off at ACM next week

OP: Stick with the stock air boxes and delete the charcoal filters, get drop ins. Call it a day.

I’ll give you the Eventuri if you take me to the country club in your old lady color combo’d ride and teach me how to play tennis.
