Trying to connect to car and not getting "Connection via VIN".

Car is running.
Firewalls and antivirus all disabled.
E-net cable plugged in car and laptop.
All network adapters disabled except for ethernet.

The only thing I am not seeing is that the ethernet IP go to 169.254.xxxxxxxx. It stays as 192.168.x.xx. It is in DCHP mode.

Do I have a bad cable? Coded few years back with it an no issues.

No idea. Are you running car Motor to ensure adequate Voltage?

Yes.

Looks like the issue was simple.

Have to make sure the ehternet network adapter is set to "automatically obtain IP address". For whatever reason on my computer it was defaulted to "use this IP address".

I've been using esys and have had the same psdzdata for about 3 years. It's been a couple months since I had opened esys. Now the target files are displayed as . with no discretion. Any ideas on what went wrong here?

Hi Shawn,

Needing a link for a working Esys and all other relevant files. Trying to code in a Mini F56 that has the standard steering changed to the multifunction wheel. Need to enable all the features (cruise control, phone, volume, etc) if you have steps for this. Thanks

It should, excluding any Secure Code 2.0 ECU's it may have. PM sent.
