I'm assuming the "instructor method" is twisting the belt several times before latching in?

PM me your emails and I will email you the instruction video, but this is what he said
Its easier to see it than understand it when described: Julian, What I am about to describe to you is the technique we teach the high performance driving instructors. As you know, instructors hop into and out of cars all day long. Some of them prefer using a CG-Lock. There is a way to use the CG-Lock without permanently attaching it to a seatbelt. That is what I will now explain. The first step is a simple modification to the CG-Lock. Remove the 2 short screws holding the clamp. Turn the clamp around so the teeth are pointing to the back of the CG-Lock and are pointing up. The square end of the clamp will be facing forward. Reinsert the screws and tighten snugly. That's the modification. To use the CG-Lock in this configuration, watch the attached video. With a little practice, you can install and remove a CG-Lock using this technique in a matter of a few seconds. Please let me know if this solves your problem. Have fun on your track day! |
