BimmerCode: “A/C Setting Memory” won’t code correctly

Drives me crazy that the A/C - Heat HVAC comes on every time you turn the car on. So I was looking forward to coding this off so it wouldn’t turn on when starting up the car every time.

This is the only item that didn’t code correctly using the BinmerCode app.

Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve this? I contacted BimmerCode support but haven’t heard back. Thank you!

Is the AC button flashing? The AC needs to run for about ~3 minutes after coding to properly reinitialize.

Coded the car. Started up the car. While the car was running and idling, I hit the A/C button and let it flash for about 2-3 minutes and then the A/C button stayed lit so I knew it was done initializing.

For good measure, let the car sit idling with the A/C running for another 2 minutes. Proceeded to turn off the HVAC so nothing was blowing. Turned off ignition, exited car and locked it and went inside. Came back in a couple of hours to start the car and the HVAC turned right on with the car at start up.

Did I miss a step?

Have you tried to code with expert mode the required parameters? I believe the parameters are:

On IHKA Module:

1. memory_off set to be Aktiv
And additional
2. Memory_unluft set to be Aktiv if you want the system to remember the circulation setting

I'm a noob when it comes to coding so I haven't played with the expert mode

Tried again to code it and it seems to work temporarily. As in right after I code and calibrate, I turn of HVAC and shut car off. Turn car back on and the HVAC doesn't turn on.

HOWEVER, when I exit and lock the car and let it go to sleep mode for 15+ minutes (or an hour or a few hours, whatever) and go back to the car, hvac turns back on.

What the hell is going on?

try to access and the IHKA module using your bimmercode expert mode and set the MEMORY_OFF parameter to Aktiv like i said above.

please note that AC needs to remain on after coding under 1500RPM to complete initialization, wait until the light turned off. This typically takes about ~1min, but can be slightly longer.
