Ceramic coating

Hi guys

Looking to get a stage 1 paint enhancement and ceramic coating on my car.

When I originally spoke to the prospective detailer and we discussed a 2 year ceramic coat protection, he stated that he would most likely use Gtechniq.

He has now suggested that he would use Carpro Cquartz?

Any advice on the difference and which would be better? Also a guideline on what the above should cost?

Thanks in advance

I've got Cquartz on mine, apart from getting a bug mark in the first week, when it was soft I guess, it's been pretty good. I dont wash the car that much but it sure is easier and looks like I put way more effort in. Also seems to stay cleaner looking longer, and I collect less bugs on the motorway.

I had a one-man-band place do a stage 1 polish and a couple of coats of ceramic, gliss + some extras for £480 over 3 days (south west).

Have cquartz on my M3 (with Gliss over the top) and recently put gtechniq chrystal serum light on my Raptor. Both are very similar, I preferred the application of the gtechniq. Can't speak to durability as my M3 is a garage queen and Raptor coating is new. If I had to choose between the 2 it would be gtechniq.

The chances are is that detailer either prefers Cquartz or he’s got a deal on the kit from his supplier. I’d go with their recommendation as they’ll be applying what they like to work with.

Ceramic coating

It all depends on whether he's using the pro level or consumer level.

CQuartz Finest and GTechiniq Crystal Serum Ultra are the pro level coatings. If he's installing those, that would come with a premium.
