Anyone try dr paint chip repair?

I'm going to do some chip repair on the lower part of the bumper before a expel or 3m clear bra as recommended by installers.

I want to repair it and protect it before it gets worse. Instead of driving around raw dog.

I found this guy https://carpaintchiprepair.com/pricing/ from a friend. Just wondering if anyone used him or the dr chip paint repair before?

Wont be until december until I have time but, when I do I will post up the process on my instagram stories.

Not so much the product but more so the technique. Ammo NYC has a great video on filling paint chips.

But yes I've used Dr. Paint Chip before and the paint was a perfect match (blue). didn't follow their instructions though, used Ammo's instead.

The leveling is great, but the match with Mineral White left a lot to be desired.

I've used Dr. Colorchip on 3 or 4 cars with good results. Better results are had with non-metallic colors.

So, did you happen to use the service or did you get the Dr. Chip set? How did it go and were you pleased with the outcome? I have a self induced scratch on my front bumper and need to get it cleaned up. Thank you for any info.

Hey Morgan,

No, I ended up respraying bumper when I got my CS hood painted, paint correction xpel and ceramic coating instead. But I would use it I heard it works well especially with your color AW

Cheers

I used Dr. Colorchip on Dakar Yellow for bonnet stone chip. Worked marvelously.

Used it before I applied PPF, pretty amazing! Can barely tell unless your about 15cm from it. The PPF helps level the chips I had coupled with the Dr. Colorchip is almost 100% (I'd call it 80%).

I made an appointment with Steve from carpaintchiprepair.com and drove up from San Diego to Orange County on 4 January to get it touched up. The touch up that he did was not as clean as I would have liked based on his years of experience.

I drove it home that afternoon and let it sit in the garage for a whole week without driving it. The following Saturday, I went out and applied some polish and wax and to my amazement the paint came right off.

I left a message at Steve's website to get his opinion on how we could remedy the situation and I currently have not heard back from him. I would definitely recommend that anyone in SoCal stay away from his business if this is how treats his customers.
