Running 255/35/19 295/30/19 PSS

Hey guys!

I know there has been a lot of discussion on this, but it looks like it's mostly been back and forth.

I'm scheduled to get new rear shoes put on, I decided to jump to 295's, in order to not create a huge diameter difference I chose 30 AR, this will end up with all four wheels being approximately the same diameter, does anyone foresee there being any tangible issues? These tires are going on a completely stock car with 437M 19"s


So the final set up will be

Stock 19" wheels

255/35/19 on the front, ending diameter of 26" up front

295/30/19 on the rear, ending diameter of 26" in the rear as well.


Any opinions / advice is much appreciated!

Just wanted to give an update

I got the 295/30/19's installed, and wow. First of all, the car looks amazing with a bit of rubber poking out of the back compared to stock. Second of all, this car hooks and has practically no sign of traction loss no matter whether you're WOT, slowly getting on it, in a straight line or going into a turn. I'm in love with these new tires!

It does make a difference but trust me, the car still breaks lose in 2nd easily.

I was thinking of getting this same setup, but I'm running 12mm all around and am worried about any rubbing issues. Time to break out the trusty Search Forum technology!!

Did you end up with DSC issues? Did it turn on traction control too soon?

Lol traction control always activates too soon!

I guess you are not really interested in cornering, because such a setup more than likely results in significant understeer as you near the limit.

To all those asking about DSC intervention, yes its a lot more aggressive and even with no slip but hard acceleration it will intervene. I had 265/35r19 and 305/30r19 (26.3" and 26.2" in diameter).
I didn't like how aggressive traction control was even in MDM mode, I guess its good for safety as it intervenes earlier but i think most will find it annoying. Its best to keep the rear diameter stagger if you can.
I swapped to 265/35 and 325/30 which is a 26.3" and 26.7" tall and DSC doesn't come on as aggressively.
First pic is how it sat after alignment with -2.5 degrees camber in rear and second and third is with about -1.5 degrees camber which did rub a bit.
Front camber is -2.0. Lowered on swift spec r springs.
