No lol a white gold retails for $36,850 USD. I was asking in seriousness because the stainless date retails US for $8,550 + tax. He's asking double so I was just wondering.

+1

You can get them at MSRP in the US with no issues. I was in Dubai in December and was told 2 years for SS so might be similar in Canada... The gold models were easily available.

I usually call a few AD in "less wealthy" states around Chicago and get a decent discount. They are happy to make a deal and I get it the next day.

Can you inbox me some sales people that you’ve dealt with (that gave you a discount on a Sub). Thanks!

Wow crazy. I called around and found an AD who let me put 30% down and order a Sub date with 3-6 month wait time... retail + california sales tax comes out to $9,362 total.

There is a shortage worldwide though. Rumors are Rolex is changing up distribution, plus sales are up, and some countries (UK) have had a retail price increase? Tudor GMT Pepsi's are a hot thing right now too..

15k???? I paid 7500 flat for my no date in November. I just walked in an AD and picked it out.

I wouldn't pay 15k for a BLNR.

Is that before or after tax?

+1 that the price is a joke...go take a look at TRF in case you are oblivious to the going rate.

Quick tip, if you’re trying to figure out the going rate for any watch (used or new), go to WatchRecon.com and search for the associated model. It will pull the ads from all the collectors websites sales posts and it gives you a great look into what people are asking for the same model. Some are private sellers and some are professionals that buy and sell watches for a living.

IMO, $15k for a stainless submariner-date in black is crazy (even though Rolex just announced they are discontinuing them).

His wife is probably making him sell it and the OP doesn't want to. So in order to appease her he put up the ad and showed her to fool her into thinking he is actively trying to sell this piece!
