Any Swift Spec-R spring experiences?
Firstly, I apologize for posting this in the general space, but the suspension forum gets little traffic.
I just had swift springs installed on my '15 f80. I'm noticing a lot of "floating", bouncing, the front end feels dipped downward and when I'm driving the car (this is my daily), it now seems like the hood (aka seeing the hood surface while driving) is just moving up and down a ton more than it was at stock. It's stable at 30-70, however at 0-20ish, it reminds me of how my '95 Honda Accord on weapon-r coilovers felt back in the day. Hitting the bumpstops, just bouncing around. I'm currently on 437 19" wheels, standard tire sizes. Thank you to any and all for insight! |

I have those springs on my M4 and don't notice any of the bouncing motion you mentioned. It's firm and responsive. Do you have the M Adaptive suspension? I generally keep mine in sport mode.

I've had nothing but amazing things to say about the Swift's on my 18' F80 ZCP. Maybe you can dry having the ZCP damper settings coded in or the m3 CS shocks coding done. I absolutely love mine. I switched from Eibach V2 and the ride is night and day better and absolutely perfect ride height!

well the front is has been lowered more than the back now... so of course its going to feel more raked. the stock car sits ok in the back, but the front has a ton of wheelgap to prevent scraping. Front -1 inch, back -0.4 inch.
i did have cs edc, not sure if the dealer reset it back to stock with the spring install. will check tomorrow. i have a little bounciness feeling too in comfort at low speed. sport mode feels good though.

Sounds like something isn't installed correctly. There shouldn't be any bouncing

Thank you for the replies! I forgot to note that this is a non zcp, non edc car. It's gotten better over the past few days, I think it was an issue of getting used to it. the suspension is notably more rigid, which I'm fine with, but coffee in the cup holder is completely out of the question anymore because that shit goes flying out of the cup at any bump.
I think another aspect may be because I haven't had it aligned yet. Possibly? Pic below |
