Help!! No tires on stock

Hopefully somebody can help me out.

Had a flat rear yesterday and tire is unrepairable. Dealership informed they don't have the Michelin Super Sport 275-35-19" in stock. Tried some local tire shops and been informed those tired are on back order and could take up to 10 weeks before delivery. Called Michelin North Anerica just a minute ago and they confirmed these tires are on back order and they will start new production after 4 weeks! Asked if they have a database to locate available tired in stock but customer service was not allowed to provide that information ((

Is there anybody here who has some helpful solutions or tips where to find a tire on short term in Houston area??

Cheers,

You could always swap both rears for a different brand in the same size, might be a good excuse to upgrade early!
Re-71rs and advan ad08r are 2 good options

We've found a rear tire in Atlanta and have it currently shipped to Houston. Definitely I will be buying another set of tires and have a spare set on stock

I contacted Tire Rack in regards to these tires too. The representative told me they are on national back order for the next three months. He seemed to think the tires below should work even though they have a lower load rating.

Michelin confirmed they will start production again after 4weeks. Will take for sure 2 months before they're on stock again. So the rumour that they will not be discontinued isnt true

Will be ordering my new spares very soon. Probably the Michelin cups together with some new rims.

I opted for the wheel and tire package, mostly because I live in potholeville, known as the north east... Have a slow leak in one of my rears so I called the dealer for an appointment and they told me about the back order and they did not know when they could get me a tire. Went there in person and kind of freaked out a little and my tire will be here Thursday...

lol...freaked out myself as well towards the dealership. Still think it's ridiculous....buying a 80k sportscar from BMW and then they're informing tires are on backorder and not directly available ?!?!

If you prepay your tires on Tire Rack.com there is a list that based on order date you'll get yours first.

Michelin has been having stock problems for a few years now. I wonder if it's because every manufacturer puts them on their sporty cars now. Maybe Michelin never planned for that?

They should just raise their prices more, they'll be able to have an increase in inventory real fast, for guys like us.

By the way, Michelin Pilot Super Sports factory equipment numbers for 19" all four delivery etc. out the door 1246.82.

Bought my mom some Dunlap Sports at Walmart yesterday all 4 mounted and balanced 329.00 for her 05 Nissan Altima, just wanted to throw that in by the way.

Just did a wheel change and moved to 275/35 front and 295/35 rears. Couldn't get new 275/35s so I used my current rears (4000 miles). Found a nail in one of the rears, and the broken off tip of a key in the other! Nail hole was plugged, key didn't go through. Don't know what I would have done if either needed to be replaced. I'll be posting pics of my new BC RS31 wheels as soon as I can take a picture without my thumb in it.

I would do the same, since you know the service advisor/dealer makes the tires themselves in a little workshop in the back filled with gnomes....
