I can't remember exactly, but as there is no deposit, it would have to have been around the £600 mark. The offers change every 1/4 X3's were under £300 Q2 and are at £400 in Q3

Thanks. This is really helpful as you are potentially saving me a sh1t tonne of money here. Do you order your colour etc on alpha drive and is there a wait for it to be built still or do they take them from existing stock?

He's saying there are m4s but m3s are so rare now in comparison they won't be on it.

When I looked on Alphadrive in the week, neither M3 or M4 was listed

I don't know what alpha drive is, but I got my m3 4 months ago as an employee lease. Zero down just paid taxes and pay mid 500 month for it. Best purchase I've ever made. It's sad that I pay almost the same price for my g37.

Alphadrive is part of BMWFS and is the UK's BMW employee scheme provider.

Oh ok.. I wish I knew about this years ago. I would have gotten a part time dealership job.

Some dealers don't like to do employee leasing for M cars. My husband's old dealer would laugh at the thought of it, but his new dealer allows it. It all depends on the GM of the dealer.

Really? I thought alpha drive was a centrally run scheme for BMW dealer employees rather than something local management had control over?

Maybe in the US of A, no issue here. Our money, our choice.

Cool. Right. I've turned down the whole deal now and am waiting for alpha drive (uk) deals to land in that case. Does anyone know that's used it about the wait period? Ie if I bought one does it give any indication of the wait? Do they get especially built or simply used from existing stock? Wondering when I would need to trade me private car in.

Should be no different in ordering a car than if you were a retail customer. If there is a car out there that meets your spec great, I'm sure your dealer will be glad of the registration. If the car is highly spec'd to your preference then maybe a factory order for which you can get updates along the way along with an expected week of delivery at the point the car is ordered by the admin team.

I'll be honest, I'd be careful over spec'ing a car you'll never own. The options are added on to the monthly payment, so say you add £3k of options, this would equate to additional £125 a month on top of the Alphadrive monthly rental.

Q4 deals will be out in the last week of this month. I'd be very surprised to see M3 & M4's on it due to the lack of nationwide stock/allocation.

Thanks. Really helpful Chompers. I'm going to hold out based on this and get the Mrs to get a blimmin login so I can keep an eye on prices. Good advice too on keeping the car basic.

If she talks to whoever looks after the Alphadrive orders, probably someone in the dealers corporate dept. they'll be able to set her up with log in details so you can check for yourself

Hi. Anyone on alpha drive seen the new price lists? The prices have gone up loads it seems for q4. Was under the impression the deals were a lot better than this. No m's on there and the every day runarounds are even a lot more than q3?

No, not look TBH. Didn't need to when I had seen the retail Q4 deals, knew the AD deals would be poor. Guess it's all down to availability of lack of in the case of the 'M' cars. Oh well, roll on Q1. Next concern will be the new VED changes due in April next year

I was only after a cheap 1 series to replace my mini before I got the m3 but even they have shot up in price. Going to have to wait for q1

Depends on the dealer group. Where my wife works, employees have gone straight onto the scheme. It's not an Alphadrive requirement
