Brake disc cleaning ideas?
Anyone have experience cleaning your brake discs. Swapping summer tires back in the next couple weeks and my discs look awful.
Suggestions? |

I think I saw a guy post here earlier, he took a metal brush on a electric drill gun and cleaned up the disc. It looks brand new, but it also looked like he took off the phosphate coating that is on the rotor (minus friction area). I asked him if it has rusted to hell yet, no response.

+1 on brake cleaner
Could also try this stuff: https://www.ammonyc.com/shop/ammo-plum-whee-cleaner/ I haven't used this particular product but all the other stuff Larry makes has worked for me. He has a demo video on the product. His other how-to videos are amazing if you've never watched them Good luck! |

I just cleaned mine and they look like new. sprayed some simple green on them and used a metal wire mesh pad. didn't take much to make them new again. Spent less than a minute per rotor.
