Things moved very quickly for me. I guess I got lucky because on Rennlist there's a whole thread about folks complaining about build delays on the TT/TT-S. My build locked on April 2nd and got the "scheduled for production" notification on May-4th. Production completed on May 12th, the car got on the boat the same day (that can take several weeks depending on the ship schedule) and arrived at the dealer on June 7th. So less than 4-weeks in transit. I did not expect for things to move that fast, so it put me in a bit of a crunch to sell my M4cs, but luckily, it sold in less than 24hrs for asking price.

Later I watched the latest smoking tire with the G80 comp... loved the car but once again "too bad its ugly". They also proclaimed you're an idiot for buying the carbon buckets in a daily driver. Its a shame honestly man.. the G80 seems like a very good performing machine.. its just too bad Ill never get over the looks. It would be like hooking up with a girl who was good in bed but not attractive.. the only difference is all your friends would be watching... |

Both the $60K 718 Cayman S in Palm Springs and the $80K CPO 718 Cayman GTS in Bethesda sold to other buyers for their asking prices. So the hunt continues and I suppose I will be driving my X5 50i at Thunderhill in a few weeks!

Can't imagine throwing an X5 around ThunderHill, but I'm jealous anyhow... my M4 is likely to be in the body shop for another month and all I have is a crappy Hyundai Elantra rental car. No Porsche allocations to be had locally. |

Vehicle tracking is fun and infuriating in equal measures. I definitely go down a rabbit hole whenever something is incoming. When i was waiting for my 981 GT4, i just happened to find a reddit thread on a Porsche car transporter crash that killed 5 GT4's on the exact day my car was supposed to be in transit to the port. I was convinced that my car was dead, but thankfully not. Once Porsche loads the car on the boat, there's the fun part of tracking the boat itself. In my own GT4 news, i took it for its annual service to the dealer and found a 981 GT4 for sale for $103k. Same color, almost same options (mine has more interior options and LWB, this one had sofas), but 3k less miles than mine. Prices are crazy. |

I've got to put that ridiculous M Sport kit (brakes, differential, adaptive M suspension, active steering, active roll stabilization) and summer tires to the test!

Minus the stripes and body colored/accent wheels I really like how those look. I’d get a different color though. My neighbor has a red one and it is stunning IMO.

The C8 is a very Large car in person. I saw one recently at C&C and was surprised how long it was compared to 911.
That rear trunk for golf clubs really compromised it from being a GREAT sports car with better proportions. I’m really looking forward to Z06 but waiting lists on it are 3yrs long lol |

Same here, he offered to let me drive it but I was six beers into a Saturday night so I politely declined. We are going to switch cars (CGTS)one of these days but just haven’t gotten around to it.

Currently at local BMW dealer. Black 2015 F80 on lot with 50k miles, they want 46k and it has lifetime drive train warranty. Offered me nice trade on in my G82, and while it’s a bit difficult for me to get in and out of the car, I’m likely going to be back in the fam soon. I just cannot justify the price I paid for a car I cannot stand to look at and this F80 is beautiful at low cost.
Happy Friday and God bless America. *EDIT* Dangit, car has two accidents reported on it. No dice on this one otherwise the deal was done! The F80 is so beautiful, parking the G82 next to it just shows how profoundly beautiful the car is. Oh well, I’ll keep me eye out but for now still with the G82. I maybe one of the few to care but I have always believed that a car, regardless of the original purpose, SHOULD have an interior that looks like the price of the car itself. Which is why I kinda went overboard on it actually but I don't really regret it. As, you drive the car on the inside, not outside. Having a good looking interior matters a lot to me, especially if I am going to keep it. The only major performance thing I had to consider was obviously the LWBS and 6MT vs PDK-S. I mentioned in my post that while I can handle the buckets easily due to how thin I am, I do not like being forced into a sitting position that restricts my movement in the seat. I tried to go 2-way but my dealership kinda shoehorned me into 18-way instead. The two big ones was I was firm on PCCB and PDK-S. That is honestly it. I thought of asking for PTS but when I knew how expensive that was, with PDK, PCCB, LED + PTS would have already pushed me past 145k. I couldn't do it so I didn't and went with Chalk.
