IKON lights restoration
Bought these lights which were in terrible shape. Tons of rock chips and stuff etched into the lens.
Was scared doing this to super expensive headlights. First I tried sanding with 1500-2500/3000 then compounding which did absolutely nothing, which is shown in the first 2 images uploaded I had to redo the lights by going down to 220 grit, then 320/ 400/800 then used sunfire pro 2k clear coat at my uncles woodfinishing shop since he has all the spray equipment lol. Came out perfect! Will wait a week or so then wet sand with 1500/3000 to smooth out some of the orange peel. Overall 90 percent of defects are all out. |

Nice job sealing them the right way. I've seen too many people do a crappy job at that stage or skip it altogether, 2 weeks later hazy headlights

Great work! I would recommend to get protective film for the headlights to prevent future rock chips.
It's quite inexpensive and you can even apply it yourself |

Great job. Wet sand it and then use a buffer to finish it off. I DIY painted my GTS hood, its a lot of work and i think i would probably have someone do it for me next time lol.
