I've been following this since you originally created this thread.
Man, this really kills it.
I'd give him a benefit of a doubt but after your update this definitely blows.
Sorry you have to deal with this OP. Hope the mods and admins of the Bimmerpost take notice and ban him from here or all other bimmerpost affiliated forums.

When you are trying to ship for the cheapest cost and pocket the most money.

I'm just mad for the whole situation you went through. Powder coated should mean you definitely need to protect the finish during shipping. Luckily, while not ideal, you can probably get them fixed for a decent price.

Jeez that sucks. What a careless move on the Sellers part, especially when he was already under a microscope.

But I'm sure Seller is innocent and his brother was the one who packaged the items.

What a donkey! At least you got the wheels OP. I'd suggest asking for some money back with those scuffs/damages, but that might be too farfetched given the sellers reputation thus far ...:

You’re very lenient to even keep those wheels at this point - I’d say that I would personally raise hell and see if it’s possible to open a fraud case with Venmo (given this POS scammer was caught dead to rights in this thread). But I also understand it may be more trouble than it’s worth - I’m just a hard head that does things out of principle which isn’t always the smoothest outcome.

mrgamby you got anything to say? Or are you gonna give the man another BS sob story?

EDIT: RElias21 not sure how it would be done, have you been able to verify they’re legit and not reps? I don’t even know if they make reps in F8X sizing but out of an abundance of skepticism for this scammer, I’d just want to rule it out completely.

I went back and looked at all the pics he sent me of the wheels, and they were definitely damaged during transport due to how carelessly he packaged them. He didn't even bubble wrap, but saran-wrapped them.

My expectations from this debacle, however, have definitely been skewed. I'm just grateful I have the wheels rather than nothing. I may re-powder coat them myself down the road if it's not cost prohibitive.

He's definitely not going to give me any money back.

Ultimately, there is no place for dishonest people like him on this forum, and I really think the evidence here in enough to warrant banning him.

Here are the pics of the wheels he sent me before shipping. I don't see ANY of these scuffs.

If you can get over this crappy situation, please fix em up and enjoy them. I know situations like this can sour the heck out of something but you can make something out of this. The rims when unmarked are beautiful. Gonna look amazing on your car.

I'm glad you actually got the wheels, regardless of shape. It's an almost okay ending to what started as a train wreck.

That guy is still a douchebag…and his shipper.

Damn Ragi, I feel bad for this ordeal you had to go through.. the guy was either reckless or just being an A$$hole for not properly wrapping the wheels.

I hope there not much visible damage? It blows now you'll have to spend more $$$ to get these re-coated

Let's hope there are not underlying damage under the powder coating.

Keep us posted on your wheel updates

I'd say he needs to give you a 50% refund and you drop the fraud case. Otherwise let's have the cop post his personal info and we get him lol

Nah, SAI in Taiwan makes the 763Ms and has supplied forged wheels to Ferrari, Rolls Royce and the 3 German marques, among others.

Happy you got the wheels at least! Could have put a piece of cardboard on the face of each wheel then saran wrap but hey the guy is an idiot and doesn't give a crap about how you receive em!

Would say that this is still a much better outcome then I was expecting

Oh, I agree, especially because this story gets weirder by the day.

Seller contacted me yesterday to say that the gentleman at the UPS store said he will wrap it himself, and seller asked if it was a bad wrap. He then pretended to apologize because he's never shipped wheels before.

He showed me a video of the wheels at the UPS store, which appeared to be in a box! So, I'm not sure how they arrived in the packaging they did (unless seller found it was cheaper to ship them without the box and decided to go that route).

I'm pretty tired of seller pretending as if everything that has happened is unknown to him, and others are at fault. It's really a lame attempt at innocence. I told him that if he was truly sorry, he would refund me the cost to get them re-coated. Of course, my request was ignored.

Icing on top is that he accused me of defaming him online. I politely sent him the definition of the word defame, which requires making false statements, lol.

Anyhow, he said that he was banned from the forum. I presume he's lying about that too. Can anyone confirm that?
