Anyone else get banned from the G8X section for making fun of its looks?

Thanks to stein_325i for turning me on to this thread. I, too, was blocked from the G80/G82 for posting negative comments about the new grill. No warning, no reply to admin PMs, nothing. It's sad that this type of censorship exists on this forum. The idea of a forum is to express opinions, and the admins are hindering our voices. At least they are allowing us to express our opinions in this thread.

What evidence (a survey?) is there that young/future generations like front ends that resemble pig snout or beaver face or whatever other animal/rodent? There are mean aggressive large grilles like the one on the latest RS6 that along with its aggressive lines may appeal to the younger crowd, but if the face is being likened to bugs bunny, then it's disputable that future generations are into this kind of "style and image."

Large grilles is actually an old trend already been there done that by most brands. BMW is just late to the game (and now you can maybe see why!). If you ask me, we're at the tail end of the large grille era and the future is in electric cars that don't need grilles, certainly not gigantic ones. I think future automotive styles and images will resemble more like Tesla or Taycan.

Well much like bell bottoms, fashion seems to get reborn in different colors so big grills have seem to make a comeback, just in Isle of Man Green now. 😉
