Continental tires...
maybe this has been discussed before....sorry if it has.
we just came back from PCD picking up our 2016 M4. it is shod with the Conti's that everyone is talking about. one thing i noticed...in the debriefing room before they took us out to the track, there were a couple of Continental displays and then several of the M3/4's that the center uses for the M Driving School had Continental stickers on the door. dont know if its been like this before but it looks like Conti has ponied up to be the supplier for the M vehicles in 2016. just thought i'd share.... |

Well Continental does work with BMW on many non-M models but..
Well if that's true, glad I bought a 2015 - for as long as the tires last anyway.

I'm pretty sure they were using conti's exclusively at PCD when I did it back in 2010.

Ya the 16s might be using Conti until PSS is in stock again. That or BMW decides to use another Micheline tire instead of Conti, who knows. 19" might continue to use Micheline?

Continental has been the sponsor of the Performance Center for at least a few years now. That made our corporate event there interesting when we had representatives from Michelin attend. Michelin has a big office building right next to the Greenville Marriott too, good marketing on Continental's part.

Some people are still getting PSS with the 19s and I expect a more normal mix between the 2 brands in the upcoming months. |

I am no expert. BUT, if it's between Conti's and PSS' s, it's PSS' s. I am no expert. But I've been told by those who are- Wait for the PSS's I ordered my oem rears 5 weeks ago from tire rack. Hope to get them in the next 2 weeks.

Agree, contis are great on track for what they are, but just get worn away pretty quickly (a lot quicker than PSS). Unlike PSS, they didn't get greasy as quickly after several hard laps.
