Nice. Yeah, that guy's analysis is entirely more thorough than mine. But note the S is excluded. If base C63 and M4 are on the same curve, seems S should hold a pretty strong value advantage vs similar MSRP (heavily optioned) F8X M3/M4.

Question for you guys, do you think will happen to the future values of the W205 with the release of a 4-cylinder C63. I would think the last V8 C-Class could in the future at least be more sought after and maybe help keep its future prices higher at least by a little.

the c63 black series might to 1/4 million or something lol. the previous cars with the 6.2 liter will up too. lots of variables though. we dont know what the new c63 will look like or weigh. just the redesign can make or break a vehicle and affect prices of previous gens (see G80)

C63 / C63 S "with F1 technology" should generate strong interest. Sounds like G8X+ type weight gain and awd addition. Less important for the way AMG's are typically used, but nonetheless. 250 kg gain, up to 4,400 lbs., loss of V8, loss of rwd. To the extent there is a more "purist" AMG audience, maybe current S model does maintain pretty strong demand/interest. https://www.caradvice.com.au/920269/...0kw-and-800nm/

i have a 2017 4 door c63 W205 with almost all the options and i love the car for me the wife and the baby. Few things rides really stiff in every mode.. eats through brakes like no one business being so front heavy. cabin rattles creaks.. (in every C class) its a fun car to dad in and to drive to the beach! but i think i will be getting a Rivan and selling it. its low miles and its been a good car with no issues and has around 26k on it now. These cars will go up in value over the years its clear Mercedes is moving to EV because of EU regulation. C63 will be a 4 banger and the v8 twin turbos engines will be paired to a 48 volt system only kept for the bigger cars E class,GLE, ect.. so if you want one get one now and enjoy it.

I really need to go drive one, I have been driving my wife's GLA around 24/7 (due to snow) and I told my son that I like it but I can't figure out why. Something about it just does it for me.

600+ miles in mine over the weekend. Still think comfort dampers could be more comfort, but that's my only gripe.

Mine is a 2020 and luckily it is rock solid with zero creeks etc. Hopefully it ages well. We only have about 4k on it so no idea on the brakes. |

Same here on rock solid, no creeks. Just that broken styrofoam in the upper door but I'm steering clear with the left elbow nowadays.

So I finally got it !! The ride is super compliant in comfort , very refined and feels like the luxury car that Benz makes. The steering is amazing and direct has some weight to it. The transmission which has been c63 Achilles heel is fixed. The 9speed multi clutch trans is amazing. The shifts are crisp , not jerky at all. Driving back I threw it in 9th gear and I was simply cruising at 1500rpm 65mph.
The power and acceleration is amazing , the low end v8 grunt is just indescribable lol. Interior and cabin feels very comfy and tasteful. The seats in my opinion are much more comfortable than my m3 seats. Audio? Burmister by far beats the HK. The infortainment is nice and gets the job done , no real thrills to it which I'm content with. But overall I'm super happy that I decided to try the AMG. It's a 2019 with 10k miles warrantied until 2025. I'll attach pics but the cars is dirty |

Nice they must have retuned the suspension for the LCI because when I drove the pre-LCI a couple years ago it was more stiff than the M3 even in comfort mode. I never checked the tire pressures though so that may have played a role.
With the next generation going 4 cylinder this generation will definitely be sought after in the near future. |

I honestly enjoy this drive much more. I am a 6speed person but I enjoy the ride the motor makes a difference and chassis is really good. I don't miss my f8x at all. The character in the motor and steering input is so much better. I cannot get traction at all taking off in comfort. You do feel the weight sometimes but it's masked very well

Nice car Kyle. Congrats. That looks like Brooklyn or queens. Good luck keeping the bumpers in good shape. My ocd just raised a red flag thinking about it
Just IMHO the great v8 sounds are a huge draw for me for amg. I’ll be sad to see that go. Your car is part of an end of an era Last edited by nicknaz; 02-15-2021 at 12:05 AM.. |

I've been contemplating making the switch as well but haven't gotten around to do anything about it. After 5 years of F8xs I think I am just ready for something different.

C63 feels a lot heavier than F80, steering is very light and not direct compared to F80. Transmission is slower and doesn’t bang through the gears like F80 DCT. Seating position is not as good.
Personally I’m not a big fan and surprised so many ppl would consider the switch. The V8 is nice but the rest of the car and driving experience is more luxury than sport.
