Thanks for all the comments guys, it's a fab car for sure!

One thing I did notice on the way into work for the first time that how compliant/comfortable the ride is in Comfort mode suspension setting given the car it is. Yes its slightly bumpier but I guess I was expecting it to be far more harsher, especially being a CP. Going over speed bumps I was expecting a good thud, but no.

Obviously it’s the point of the adaptive suspension to provide Comfort and Sport settings, but that’s for the dampers – the springs obviously have a higher spring rate than say a M Sport 3/4 series, but it really isn’t that bad at all. And don’t forget its on 20’s with sod all tyre wall.

Very impressed.

That's good to hear, it's the one thing I have been worried about along with the road noise. My merc likes to crash over bumps

Yes, there is more road noise but its subtle TBH. I could see this could bother some people more than others, just depends on your tolerance level to very slightly more road noise. Doesn’t really bother me that much - and the missus hasn’t commented on it either!!!!

The x6 has quite a bit of road noise and it's fine, the old one was worse and again that was ok..

Some people moan about the e class and I think it's really quiet

The strangest thing I noticed yesterday coming back from London and sticking rigidly to 70mph is the position of the needle at about the 11:00 position - due to the speedo going up to a maximum of 200mpg on the scale!!!!

Just seems odd going at the national max speed limit and only using about a quarter of the speedo!

How are you treating it during this run in period. Are you being gentle or are you keeping it honest?!!

Very gentle so far. Half throttle and not above 5K revs.

How long that'll last though....

Bit of a strange question but how do you find the hand free system for calling with the road noise?

I make a lot of business calls whilst driving and poor quality on one or both sides really bothers me.

i know the July updates have enhanced BT with a second mic in the passenger side.

Clarity on BT calling is a big factor for me.

Not made any calls on it yet Daz. I put the phone in last night and drove it a couple of times since. I'll try ringing the missus on the way home and check it out........

Don't you have mics on both sides? My 2016 non-CP does. Having said that, irrespective of car, I slow down to 60mph on motorways when on calls.

I was under the impression that one of the features on enhanced bluetooth is two mics - thought it was always like this - but I could be wrong.

Also, one other thing for those waiting on a CP, mine came with Michelin PSS's. To date, I think all CP's have come with Michelin's IIRC. Maybe something to do with the fact they are 20's.

This also may have significance on road noise as I think those with Continentals say they are are a little nosier?

Yes, think you're right regarding the enhanced BT having an extra mic + cradle in armrest.

From all ive read about the PSS it seems like they are the best tyre for overall performance V noise, etc.

Ha you're getting 200mpg? That's really good for an M car! I've had to set the speed warning bong to kick in on mine at 75 (er, I mean 70 officer!), have you used up a full tank yet?

Ok, looked so there is no kph scale on the inner dial, but you do have the digital speed in the middle of the dash that I guess you can change to kph

Yes perhaps 200mpg is a little optimistic for any car, let alone an M3.

Not used the full tank as yet, just below half at the min. Although it only had just over 3/4 of a tank in it when I picked it up.

What mpg are you getting springer?
