Im in the process of talking to Ronald about making a ssk. What problems are you having with it? did you upgrade to the 95A, or keep it stock?

I'll be upgrading the SSK bushings to the harder compound soon. Also replacing the transmission mounts (with Rogue) and changing the shifter rear carrier bushing (Turner). |

I had a near "money-shift" (3rd to 2nd) while cornering which got me looking into solutions. I did some tests and found the transmission to be consistently leaning while cornering, making shifting guess work, and sometimes it would block me from shifting into 3rd. Feels like these RE mounts will resolve that issue completely. The install is straightforward, that DIY video will have the same steps. I didn't remove the exhaust at all, just unbolted the midpipe hanger and swung it down. However you will need to slide the heat shield above the midpipe back, to access the top 13mm bolts on the mounts. You will need 8mm, 10mm, 13mm & E-Torx sockets, 13mm spanner wrench, a way to get the car in the air with a way to support the transmission. I used ramps + jack.

1. Shifter feels more notchy (in a good way) and there a bit more mechanical noise when the shifter moves into gear. Expected and no complaint here. 2. Much more noticeable whirring sound on acceleration (expected and ok), and I can hear more ticking engine noise at idle (hoping this goes away). From 1 (quiet) to 10 (race car), if stock is a 2 for interior noise, this latest setup is a 4. I'll put it another way: If my wife was in the car, she would ask "were those noises always there?" I think all of this is a good trade-off, if it will get rid of the "shifting under load" problem (I'll know for sure after my next track event), but... If you don't tolerate much interior noise, and you don't track your car, I would avoid these changes. |

I was experiencing transmission movement after upgrading to a Spec twin disc clutch, and was weighing my options for what transmission and/or shift linkage bushings to replace while fearing increased nvh. Thankfully I was able to bypass changing our tranny bushings by replacing/upgrading our rear diff bushings (powerflex purple 85a) and using the Turner dual mount diff plate. Removed a huge amount of slop from the shifting process, much more direct now and no increased nvh

I’ve just installed the Rogue mounts. The only negative thing I have to say is that the shifter vibrates a tad more than before, although it doesn’t appear to visually (not blurry or any other visual cue), but there is a bit more mechanical energy transmitted into the shifter IMO.
I didn’t notice any increased NVH otherwise, but then my car typically is noisy inside due to the Vorschlag camber plates. The positives, as others have noticed, is the transmission no longer moving around like before. These past days I went to VIR and at the Oak Tree turn, I was able to find 2nd gear under load *every single time*. With stock mounts, it was a 30/70 in favor of not finding it. 100% worth it for me.

i didnt notice any added vibrations. i only drove 2-3 miles on it so far. i will update with any info i find after i run for another 100 miles or so.
(edit: i do notice a very small amount of vibrations in shifter, nothing that would be alarming by any means.. to be expected out of upgraded mounts. nothing like a solid mount or anything of the like) Last edited by Crums440; 12-06-2020 at 12:45 PM.. |

Bump. Having some issues finding gears in my 6MT, and considering doing a tranny mount swap. Everyone still loving their Rogue Mounts after some mileage?

Rogue mounts ordered. I noticed how much my transmission was moving after I installed a CAE shifter. Hopefully this will reduce movement under load for when I track the car.

A year later and 7 weekends at the track, there’s no looking back. Do it.

They helped my MT6 immensely. Another set is going under my DCT next time it's warm enough to go wrenching in the driveway.

Many F8x 6MT owners I track with have had or have the same challenges shifting into a lower gear at track events.
Transmission mounts are an easy swap and dramatically improved the shifting feedback & accuracy. EAS: European Auto Source in Anaheim, CA installed a CAE F8x Shifter with RevShift 95A Engine & Transmission Mounts. The Engine Response to throttle input as well as shifter feedback is A Whole New Level of Precise. It’s exactly what I was wanting in regards to driver feedbalc Funfzehn Automotive in Orange, CA recently installed the KMP Dual Mount Differential Offset Brace with Solid Mounts. Post mount the rearend & on/off throttle response without the loading unloading of the rearend is perfect. A lot more confidence rolling on throttle as well as a predictable chassis feel off throttle |

I own f82m4 gearbox wise only removed the cdv, and nth else. On my 1m I did upgrade to e46 m3 bushing, which is slightly stiffer than stock 1m, I wonder the RE ones Are stiffer than e46 m3 mounts?
Thanks in advance |

Bimmerworld on their E46M mount listing states "For cars seeing track and auto-x use, we have slightly stiffer Rogue Engineering mounts". https://www.bimmerworld.com/Drivelin...ion-Mount.html
I would have expected the RE to be a slightly stiffer upgrade anyway due to OEM parts usually leaning towards the path of reducing NVH at all cost. I also have the RE mounts on my 6MT and did them the same time as a UUC short shifter. The mounts did make a pretty noticeable difference - slight movement in the shifter but no perceptible increase in NVH overall. With the price point and simple install they feel like a no-brainer for a 6MT vehicle.

I just installed the rogue engineering trans mounts. Install was a breeze took like 5 mins once the car was jacked up.
I notice a little difference when shifting. Installing a SSK soon as well as new shifter bushings etc. think it’ll really come into play once everything else is installed. No vibration from the rogue mounts. Just make sure you don’t over tighten when u install they should be at 14lbft when torqued down
