I can confirm that they beat my dealer's price by a HUGE margin on the BMW factory extended warranties for my 2015 M4, we're talking a good 25 percent less on all the plans compared to what my stealer quoted me. I was dumfounded when my dealer quoted me on the Powertrain, gold, and platinum warranties and wanted a small fortune for each one, straight up robbery. For just the 7 year/75k powertrain plus they were asking a whopping 5.3k for that and something like 7.5k for the platinum....wtf. Plus they told me "oh we can't discount those at all"...such BS.

I went with the Powertrain Plus, giving me an additional 3 years and 35k miles (current mileage sitting at 40k) to cover the big things in case my car decides to blow up (funny because it's currently at the dealer for drivetrain error and engine knock, per my SA a motor replacement is certainly a possibility JUST AS MY FREAKING WARRANTY IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE....yikes!). My factory warranty is up on 3/25, and I didn't want to be without at least a powertrain warranty for the next three years.

Anybody have any experience with Delta Auto Protect? Just was quoted $2000 for 5 year 100k additional and he's throwing in tire & wheel coverage. Oh and $0 ded.
Background, 2016 F80 with 1+ years left on factory warranty, but I'm tuned, so was thinking of this as insurance against a SCH.

You may want to talk to your preferred dealership to see if they dealt with that warranty company.

+1

I think I may have mentioned it in a different thread, but anybody looking for an extended warranty would do well to talk to Checa first. Highly recommended. They were very easy to work with and I really appreciated their willingness to work up friendly pricing for forum members.

This one with Checa @ Steve Thomas BMW is a factory BMW warranty correct? Meaning the same issues that would in-validate a factory warranty would also apply here?

Transfer of warranty across countries?

Does anyone know what happens to the BMW warranty if the car is exported to a different country, whilst still under factory and/or extended warranty?

I posted in a different thread, can't find it now, but while I did my research on extended third party warranties I noticed a general trend. Caveat: this was 2 years ago; now that more F8x are actually out of factory warranty the quotes seem to be getting higher. This was originally for roughly 5 yr/80k+ miles beyond original warranty.

<$3000. Red flags. Most reviews, BBB complaints, etc., seem to center on them denying claims for any reason they could find.

>$3000 - $5000. Consistent user experience range. Some negative reviews, but lots of success stories and they seem to cover claims well without tons of mods, etc.

>$5000. This was the BMW extended (maxed at 2 extra years) or other super high rates. Thing is, a few posts back, most credible extended third party warranties are creeping into this range.

Got a 5 Year 60,000 mile extended warranty so I’m covered til 5/2024 and to 104,000 miles with a $500 deductible. Paid around $5900 after everything was said and done.

If anyone wants easycare or wants a quote. Contact:

Extended warranty now or later?

My warranty expires in October, so I still have 6+ months left. The dealership said that I should renew while I am still under factory warranty. Also, the warranty is priced on miles on the car, so it is cheaper now than it will be 6 months from now with ~ 6000 more miles on it. I think they said it would be $900 more with the additional miles I will put on the car in the next 6 months.

They quoted me $4,500 for an additional 3 years / 45K miles from where I am today. Covered through 4/29/2022 or 75K miles.

The issues I have are:

1. I am giving up 6 months of warranty since the 3 years starts now, not in October.
2. The price. $4500 seems high.

Thoughts?

4500 ÷ 3 years = 1500 per year
1500 ÷ 2 = 750 per 6 months

If buying it in 6 months cost 900 more, it's basically the same, I'd probably go that route. You're paying for 6 months overlapped warranty if you buy it now anyway.

During the first 3 months after buying and registering the car, I had the opportunity to buy another 2 years for a total of 5 years BMW "new car warranty", for 2800€.

I can extend it after these 5 years, but for less coverage than "new car warranty" offers.

Arrow Anyone used CNA for Aftermarket Warranty?

Have less than 4 months left on the factory warranty and local dealer highly recommended CNA if I didn't want to go with BMW. Just wondering if anyone has experience with them?

Thanks.

Been wondering about this for quite a while. My m3 is about 5 months from lease end and just reaching 29k miles. not sure if its worth it to do the buyout and get an extended warranty or return it.

Apologies if this has been spoken about already, I haven't been able to find anything with Delta Autoprotect on the forums.

My warranty is expiring in December, I only have 23k miles in almost 4 years, and the deciding factor of me keeping the car is finding a decent warranty.

Does anybody have any experiences with Delta Auto Protect? I was quoted $1,750 for Diamond package which covers 5 yr/100k miles from purchase date and essentially covers the whole car. Sounds too good to be true, if anybody has any experience with them or recommendations for 3rd party warranties would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I bought Fidelity for my wife's Audi (from Troy who I'm guessing you are referring to). I didn't realize they also sold warranties that cover BMWs.
