120-140mph a few times since I've had the car a few months. loving the s55 more and more. I can just leave it 6th and get around slow traffic with ease while listening to my music.

This is idiotic to do this on a public road. He got lucky. That was a rear blowout. If it had been a front tire, he probably would have killed himself and others.

Do you have a family? Anyone else that might care if you're gone?

From my understanding the limiter for M cars is only in the overdrive gears. For the F80s it would be 6th for the manual and 6th+7th for the DCT. Both cars 5th gears redline at 168.

The speedo can lie... the engine rpms can't. I redlined 5th gear at 8000rpm in my e46 at it was at ~165-167

Same here, I also redlined my E46 in 5th gear on more than one occasion for a 275km/h indicated on the speedo (not true speed).

I am not sure that the limiter being different in the different gears is still valid on the F8X though as I achieved the same 269km/h indicated top speed in 5th, 6th and 7th gear during ED with my 2015 M4. My wife and I laughed because my old 2002 E46 M3 had a higher top speed than my new 2015 M4 . Not that it matters much though.

I have not tried my 2019 M4cs yet though...

Loaded the BM3 Stage 2 Tune and took my M4 on the highway.. pulled from the on ramp and reached 162mph before I had to slow down for traffic. I couldn't believe how much faster it was with just downpipes and a tune

As a somone who is DD his M4, I reach ~170 -180 mph several times a week, which is the topspeed of this carwith drivers package unless you didnt unlock the speed limit any further

I reached 186 on bike, but that happens ultra fast.

150mph in a blink; then a little push for 186

Glad I got top speed runs and track days out my system

I'll get on it now and then but it's usually on some twisty hwy. no more flat out runs... 140 I've seen and it was cake!

What bike was that? I had my GSXR 1000 up to 186 and thats when it cut out. GPS speed was actually about 165-170 ish if i remember correctly.

In stock gearing your 2008+ gsxr 1000 184 mph real gps speed

Mine 2011 ZX10R with GUHL tune; limiter removed, raised redline by 500 rpm, restrictions removed in 1st and 2nd gear Akrapovic titanium exhaust

I've actually seen 189 mph and the rpms keep climbing the real speed is 186 gps

Again; I'm don't with that.
