Have you taken your M3/M4 to its top speed?

Just got back from ED.

Hit 267kmph on the Autobahn just after 6am.

Not sure what other people are saying about "bouncing off the limiter". For me it was slow and smooth. Pedal floored HUD went 266, 267, back to 266, then I had to lift because of traffic.

lets say i almost hit 200 mph and ill leave it at that .. !!! dont care if you dont belive it.. but i know what i got done to the car and the limiter is gone

eh 144mph on a 2 lane highway around 12 am, it was stupid wouldn't do it again there is just too many deer where i live

I hit about 117-120 mph on the Autobahn with an F82 ZCP last summer when I visited the Welt. Not near the "max speed" but it was so awesome being able to just cruise at that speed for sustained periods of time. This car was dead stable and it just kept pulling and pulling.

Raced with my buddies F10 M5 the other day on an empty, straight, long stretch of road (In Mexico

). 80-170ish. We both agreed to let off at the same time. Neck and neck both times. Felt like the cars had another 20+mph in them easy. Was surprised how hard they were still accelerating at the top end.

My friend's BMW M4 last year during the club annual drive across the border.
I was maxing out next to a 458 Speciale untill I hit the bump on the top speed limiter. 269 km/h was the max before the limiter kicked in.
Car definitely has more in it!!!

Am gonna try it on my own F80 ZCP LCI II M3 end of the month when I cross the border.

P.S - Completely stock 2015 M4.

"speed limit"? meaning top speed? drag limited or electronically limited or whatever? ummm, i live in NJ so...no. that needs Montana, or Nevada, or Utah.

Hit 155mph inside a tunnel (don't ask where). It felt absolutely stable and planted. Got up to speed effortlessly.

Had the car close to 130-140 a few times on the highway. Did not push it much faster than that. Very easy to do in this car.

It isn’t the fear of stability/control or something going wrong at those speeds, it’s moreso being paranoid it’s jailtime or a court date if you get caught. Over 30mph over the posted limit is a mandatory court date in my state and likely a massive insurance hike.

Would never advocate those speeds on US public roads or while traffic conditions do not permit but sometimes you just want to push it a bit and in this car it’s very easy to do. 100mph feels like 60 in other cars.

I’m still getting used to the fact that the car pins me to my seat when it shifts into 5th around 120mph. It’s like the Billy Mays of sedans... “but wait! there’s more!”

I've hit 145 in an M School M3 and M4, and only 135 in my own... but it had so much more to give I only ran out of road!

I've hit 267 kph a bunch of times on the autobahn. Doesn't take much effort to get there--the car can definitely go beyond easily. Most of the time it's good but there's always a more powerful car in the left lane that wants to pass/play.

At that speed, speedo is usually off by 5 mph

I touched 157mph (mine has a 2mph marked up for some reason) a while back and met the governor. Didn't even use a half a mile of freeway, car had so much more to give. Aside from being pissed slightly, Im looking forward to fully unlocking the car and letting loose. I do believe these cars stock with no gov can eclipse if not get close to the 190 range.

We all know these damn cars are fast, and its so easy to play around in the 100+ area. I hope, and assume the cars are being driven like real M cars are supposed to be driven. Thus, I want to know your stories of top speed attempts and numbers, gov or no gov, modded, or stock, I want to hear it all. I know im not the only 1.
